3. Installation & Operation Steps
Pre-Installation Check
Cut off the power supply of the FBM module rack completely; check cable appearance for cracks, core breakage or connector damage; confirm the cable length matches cabinet wiring distance.
Module Side Connection
Align the locking plug with the FBM2xx Type 2 terminal base interface, push in firmly and rotate the lock nut clockwise until fully locked to prevent loose contact caused by equipment vibration.
Field Terminal Wiring
Strip 5mm insulation from the open wire end, connect each marked core wire to the corresponding channel terminal of on-site sensors/valves/transmitters one by one, tighten terminal screws, and bind redundant cable with cable ties neatly.
Shield Ground Treatment
Uncover the grounding copper mesh at the cable middle section, connect the shielding layer to the control cabinet single-point grounding bar; strictly prohibit multi-point grounding to avoid signal crosstalk.
Post-Installation Inspection
Power on the system after wiring; use DCS upper computer to read all channel signal values, verify no signal loss, drift or interference noise; fix cables along the cable trough to avoid extrusion and sharp metal friction.

Daily Maintenance
Inspect connector tightness and cable surface wear every 3 months; clean dust on connectors with dry compressed air; check grounding continuity regularly.
Forbidden Operations
Do not cut, splice or extend the cable core wire without authorization;
Do not drag, bend the cable at a small angle (<90°) or extrude with cabinet doors;
Do not lay the cable parallel with high-voltage power cables for a long distance;
Do not connect signals exceeding 300V rated voltage to the cable;
Do not disassemble the integrated locking connector, which will lose shielding and anti-vibration performance.
