Basic Installation & Usage
Mounting
Snap into standard I/A Series DIN rail or baseplate.
Secure latch; ensure full seating for backplane contact.
Wiring
Connect intelligent transmitters (pressure/flow/level) and analog devices to P0500RY termination plug.
Transmitter input: 2‑wire (loop‑powered, HART).
Analog output: 2‑wire to valve/actuator; common ground not required (isolated).
Use shielded twisted pair; separate analog/digital cables.
Configuration (I/A Series Software)
Set channel mode: Intelligent Input (HART) / Analog Output (0–20 mA).
Configure AO range (0–20 mA / 4–20 mA) and scaling.
Enable HART (1200 bps); set NE 43 fault thresholds.
Assign failsafe state (hold / 0 % / 100 %) for AO.
Enable diagnostics (short circuit, open load, HART comms).
Operation
RUN (green): module ok; FAULT (red): error (comms/power/channel).
Channel LED: ON = active; FLASH = fault; HART = HART communication.
Monitor HART PV/SV/diagnostics and AO values in HMI.
Maintenance
Hot‑swap faulty module (no shutdown; wiring intact).
Inspect termination plug wiring/shields/grounds annually.
Update firmware via I/A Series software.
Calibration: Not required (factory‑calibrated; on‑board diagnostics).
Typical Applications
Interface for HART intelligent transmitters (pressure/flow/level/temp).
Analog control outputs for valves, actuators, and VFDs.
Mixed intelligent/analog I/O for skids and package units.
Migration of legacy FBM04/FBM05 to 200‑series FBMs.
