Basic Usage & Installation
Mount: Snap into standard I/A rack baseplate; ensure full seating.
Wiring:
Connect RTD sensors to termination assembly (TA).
Use 2‑wire, 3‑wire, or 4‑wire per channel (no mix of 3‑wire with 2/4‑wire on same module).
Separate sensor cables from high‑power cables to reduce noise.
Configuration (I/A Series Software):
Set sensor type (Pt100, Ni120, etc.) per channel.
Select wire mode (2/3/4‑wire).
Set input range and filter time.
Enable/disable diagnostics (sensor open/short).
Operation:
Check LED indicators for module/channel status.
Monitor temperature values in HMI; verify alarms.
Maintenance: Hot‑swap faulty module; no system shutdown required.
Typical Applications
Precision temperature monitoring in heat treatment, chemical, power, and pharmaceutical processes.
Replacement for legacy Westinghouse WDPF RTD modules during migration to Foxboro I/A Series.
