7. Installation & Wiring
7.1 Mechanical Installation
Mount the unit directly on the flange of SEW three-phase motor.
Tighten mounting screws to a torque of 3.0 Nm.
Keep clear ventilation space around the unit and avoid direct heat radiation.
7.2 Electrical Wiring
Power Terminals (L1, L2, L3, PE): Connect 3-phase 380–500 V AC power and reliable protective earth.
Motor Terminals (U, V, W, PE): Use shielded cables to connect to the motor.
Control Terminals: Connect 24 V DC control power, run/stop and direction signals.
Communication Port: Connect RS-485 cable for remote networking if needed.
7.3 EMC Requirements
Use shielded cables for motor and signal lines. Ground both ends of the shield.
Separate power cables and signal cables to reduce electromagnetic interference.
8. Commissioning
Inspect all wiring and insulation before power supply.
Set control mode, motor parameters and station address via DIP switches.
Switch on the main power; the LED indicates standby status.
Perform trial run at low speed first, check abnormal noise and vibration, then gradually increase to normal operating speed.
9. Status Indication & Common Faults
9.1 LED Status
Steady green: Unit is ready for operation
Flashing green: Motor is running
Flashing red: Fault alarm
9.2 Typical Faults
Overcurrent: Caused by short circuit, overload or motor failure.
Overvoltage: Abnormal input power or regenerative voltage surge.
Overtemperature: Poor ventilation or excessive ambient temperature.
Communication error: Damaged RS-485 cable or incorrect address setting.
10. Maintenance
Clean dust on the surface and heat sink every 6 months.
Check tightness of all terminals and cable condition regularly.
Replace aged or damaged cables and seals in time.
11. Storage & Disposal
Store the product in a dry and clean environment within the specified temperature range.
Dispose of the product in accordance with local WEEE regulations. Sort metal, plastic and electronic components for professional recycling.
