Description

Bentley 330101-00-26-05-02-00 Product Description

I. Product Overview

The Bentley 330101-00-26-05-02-00 is a 8mm eddy current proximity probe of the 3300 XL series under the Baker Hughes brand. It strictly follows the API 670 industrial standard and is the core sensing component of the rotating machinery condition monitoring system. The product adopts a non-contact measurement principle and is mainly used for detecting the radial vibration, axial displacement, eccentricity of the rotating shaft, and key phase and rotational speed signals of large industrial rotating equipment. It is widely used in the power, petrochemical, metallurgy, and light industry industries, providing precise and stable raw data for online equipment condition monitoring, fault early warning, over-limit alarm, and safety interlock protection.

II. Model Code Interpretation

330101 is the basic model of this series, representing the 3300 XL standard 8mm eddy current probe; the first suffix code 00 indicates that the probe uses standard non-threaded installation length; code 26 indicates that the overall length of the probe housing is 2.6 inches; code 05 indicates that the probe comes with a cable length of 0.5 meters, and the overall structure is without armored; code 02 represents the configuration of a miniature coaxial ClickLoc quick connector, which is convenient to plug and unplug and has a stable connection; the last code 00 indicates that this product has not obtained explosion-proof certification and is only applicable to conventional non-flammable and non-explosive industrial environments.

III. Working Principle

The product completes the measurement work based on the eddy current effect. The coil inside the probe is supplied with high-frequency alternating current, which generates an alternating magnetic field. When the probe approaches the metal measured shaft, the metal surface will induce eddy currents, and the reverse magnetic field formed by the eddy currents will change the inductance and impedance values of the probe coil. The matching preamplifier can capture this electrical parameter change in real time and convert it linearly into a standard negative voltage analog signal. The entire measurement method is non-contact and is not affected by media such as water vapor, oil stains, and dust in the field, and can operate continuously and stably for a long time.

IV. Main Technical Parameters

This probe belongs to the 3300 XL 8mm sensing system. The standard linear measurement range is 2.0 mm, and the effective working range is 0.25 mm to 2.3 mm. The measurement sensitivity is 7.87V/mm, the accuracy error is controlled within ±5%, and the overall linearity is no more than ±0.025 mm. Within the linear working range, the output voltage range is -1VDC to -17VDC. The recommended static installation gap in the field is 1.27 mm, corresponding to an output voltage of -9VDC. The product's frequency response range is 0 to 10kHz, which can meet the detection requirements of different rotational speed units.

At 25℃ ambient temperature, the overall resistance of the probe is 7.59Ω, with an allowable deviation of ±0.50Ω. The rated working environment temperature is -51℃ to +177℃, suitable for various high and low temperature conditions. The probe housing is made of 303/304 stainless steel, with high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance; the tip of the probe uses polyphenylene sulfide material, which has excellent high-temperature and insulation properties; the outer layer of the cable uses FEP fluorinated ethylene propylene insulation layer, which is resistant to oil, aging, and has good flexibility. The product's protection level reaches IP65, which can effectively prevent dust and water spray. The entire series of components support universal interchangeability, and the probe, extension cable, and preamplifier do not need to be paired and calibrated separately. The product is equipped with CE and UL regular safety certifications, but no explosion-proof qualification.

V. Product Structure and Core Features

(1) Mechanical Structure

The probe is equipped with 3/8-24 UNF standard external threads, which can be matched with industry-standard installation bases and can be securely locked with a lock nut. 2.6-inch short housing design, suitable for equipment installation positions with limited space. It comes with a 0.5-meter short non-armored cable, providing simple and flexible wiring. The minimum bending radius of the cable is no less than 5 times the diameter of the cable. The end of the cable is equipped with a ClickLoc micro coaxial quick connector, which is quick to connect, has strong vibration resistance, and can avoid contact problems during equipment operation. The disassembly, maintenance and repair operations are very simple.

(2) Core advantages

The product has high measurement accuracy, small temperature drift, excellent long-term operation data stability, and can accurately capture the tiny vibration and displacement changes of the shaft. An internal professional electromagnetic shielding structure is set, with excellent anti-electromagnetic interference ability, which can adapt to complex working conditions with strong electromagnetic interference such as frequency converters and large-power motors. The series components have strong versatility, unified spare parts, and effectively reduce inventory and maintenance costs. Non-contact measurement does not cause wear to the measured metal shaft, and the overall service life of the equipment is long. The IP65 protection level can cope with harsh environments with a lot of dust and oil, and has strong comprehensive environmental adaptability.

Six. System composition and equipment compatibility

This probe cannot be used alone. The complete measurement system needs to be combined with the 3300 XL series extension cable and the same model preamplifier. The total length of the probe's built-in cable and the external extension cable must be strictly matched with the calibration parameters of the preamplifier to ensure the overall measurement accuracy. The product is fully compatible with the BT 3300 series and 3500 series monitoring framework. The collected analog signals can be directly connected to mainstream industrial control systems such as DCS and PLC, and supports static position measurement and dynamic vibration measurement, achieving real-time data display, over-limit alarm, and safety interlock functions of the unit.

Seven. Typical application scenarios

It is mainly applied in large auxiliary equipment and main equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines, power generation units, feed pumps, exhaust fans, and supply fans in the power industry; centrifugal compressors, process pump sets, and various power rotating equipment in the petrochemical industry; and large drive motors, fans, gearboxes, and high-speed rotating units in the metallurgical and general industrial fields. The main monitored items include radial shaft vibration, axial displacement, and shaft eccentricity. At the same time, it can be combined with the system to collect key signals to complete the monitoring of the unit's rotational speed.

Eight. Installation and daily maintenance norms

When installing the equipment, the static gap between the probe and the measured shaft should be adjusted to the standard 1.27 mm, corresponding to an output voltage of -9VDC. The probe must not be in direct contact with the shaft to prevent friction from causing damage to the probe. After the threaded installation is completed, the anti-loosening nut must be tightened to prevent the probe from shifting or loosening due to equipment vibration. The cable laying path should be away from high-voltage cables and large-power electrical equipment to reduce electromagnetic interference. The total length of the system cable must not be changed at will and must be consistent with the calibration parameters of the preamplifier.

During daily operation, it is recommended to perform an accuracy calibration once a year to ensure accurate and reliable measurement data. When there are signal fluctuations, abnormal values, etc., the connection status of the connector, the appearance of the cable, and whether the environmental temperature exceeds the rated range should be checked first. Regularly clean the oil and dust attached to the tip of the probe to avoid foreign matter accumulation affecting the measurement effect.

Nine. Usage precautions

Use the product strictly within the rated temperature range. Do not strike or bend the probe body forcefully, and avoid damaging the internal coil. This model has no explosion-proof certification, and it is prohibited to install and use it in flammable and explosive dangerous areas. To ensure measurement accuracy and equipment operation safety, it is recommended to use the original BT factory components. Mixing non-original components is prone to measurement errors and system failures. Avoid keeping the probe in strong corrosive media for a long time. In harsh working conditions with strong corrosion and dust, the inspection frequency should be appropriately increased.
