Description

Bentley 330101-00-28-10-12-05 Product Description

I. Product Overview

The Bentley 330101-00-28-10-12-05 is a 3300 XL 8mm eddy current proximity probe under the Bently Nevada brand of Baker Hughes. It is a core component of the 3300 XL sensor system, designed specifically for industrial rotating machinery vibration, shaft displacement, eccentricity, and keyway signal / speed monitoring. It complies with API 670 standards and is widely used in critical equipment condition monitoring and protection systems in power generation, oil and gas, and chemical industries.

II. Model Analysis (330101-00-28-10-12-05)

330101: Basic model, 3300 XL 8mm standard probe, 3/8 - 24 UNF thread, without armor;

00: No thread length (standard installation length);

28: Total length of the probe housing 2.8 inches (approximately 71mm);

10: Cable length of the probe itself 1.0 meter, without armor;

12: Connector type and cable specification, micro coaxial ClickLoc quick connector, compatible with extended cable;

05: Certification level, including CSA, ATEX, IECEx explosion-proof certifications.

III. Working Principle

Based on the eddy current effect: The high-frequency coil inside the probe is connected to an alternating current, generating an alternating magnetic field; when close to the metal rotating shaft (conductor), the surface of the conductor induces eddy currents, which reverse the magnetic field and change the impedance / inductance of the probe coil; the preamplifier (Proximitor) detects this change, converts it into a negative voltage signal corresponding to the linear gap, achieving non-contact displacement / vibration measurement, unaffected by oil, water vapor, etc.

IV. Technical Parameters

Measurement System: 3300 XL 8mm eddy current sensor system (probe + extended cable + preamplifier);

Linear Range: 2.0mm (80 mils), effective range 0.25 - 2.3mm (10 - 90 mils);

Sensitivity: 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), error ±5%;

Linearity: ≤ ±0.025mm (±1 mil);

Output Signal: -1 VDC - -17 VDC (linear range);

Recommended Gap: 1.27mm (50 mils), corresponding output -9 VDC;

Frequency Response: 0 - 10kHz;

Probe Resistance (25℃): 7.59Ω ±0.50Ω (1m cable);

Protection Grade: IP65, dustproof and waterproof;

Certifications: CE, UL, CSA, ATEX, IECEx (explosion-proof);

Interchangeability: The probe, extended cable, and preamplifier do not require matching calibration, and the components are fully interchangeable.

V. Structure and Features

Mechanical Structure

3/8 - 24 UNF external thread, no armor design, 1 meter standard cable, flexible installation;

The tip of the probe is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), with high temperature resistance and good insulation;

Equipped with a micro coaxial ClickLoc quick connector, reliable connection, resistant to vibration loosening, facilitating on-site maintenance.

Core Advantages

High Precision and Stability: Nanometer-level resolution, small temperature drift, reliable long-term operation; High anti-interference capability: EMI/RFI suppression complies with CE standards, suitable for industrial strong electromagnetic environments;

Easy maintenance: Components are interchangeable, no need for separate calibration, reducing spare parts management costs;

Explosion-proof safety: Multi-area explosion-proof certification, suitable for dangerous areas such as oil and gas platforms, chemical plants, etc.

Six. System Composition and Compatibility

Complete monitoring unit includes:

This probe (330101‑00‑28‑10‑12‑05);

3300 XL series extension cable (matching the total system length);

3300 XL preamplifier (Proximitor Sensor).

Compatible with Bently 3500/3300 monitoring framework, can be connected to DCS/PLC systems, achieving real-time monitoring, alarms, and interlock protection, supporting static (position) and dynamic (vibration) measurements.

Seven. Typical Applications

Power generation industry: steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, feed pumps, induced draft fans / supply fans;

Oil and gas industry: centrifugal compressors, pipeline pumps, LNG equipment rotating equipment;

Chemical / metallurgical: large motors, fans, gearboxes, high-speed rotating machinery;

Monitoring parameters: shaft radial vibration, axial displacement, eccentricity, key signal / rotational speed.

Eight. Installation and Maintenance Tips

Installation gap: Set to 1.27mm (‑9 VDC) for static adjustment to avoid probe friction with the shaft;

Fixation method: Tighten with threads and lock with a locknut to prevent vibration loosening;

Cable laying: Avoid strong electromagnetic interference sources, with a bending radius of no less than 5 times the cable diameter;

System length: The total length of the probe cable + extension cable must match the calibration length of the preamplifier;

Regular calibration: It is recommended to calibrate once a year to ensure measurement accuracy;

Fault troubleshooting: When signal drift / abnormality occurs, check the connection of the connector, cable damage, and changes in environmental temperature.

Nine. Precautions

Do not use beyond the temperature and pressure limits, avoid mechanical impact on the probe;

Installation in explosion-proof areas must strictly follow ATEX/IECEx specifications;

Do not mix with non-Bently original components, otherwise it will affect accuracy and stability;

Avoid long-term contact of the probe with corrosive media, and regularly clean the tip of the probe.
