Bentley 330101-00-30-10-02-05 Product Description
I. Product Overview
The Bentley 330101-00-30-10-02-05 is a 3300 XL 8mm eddy current proximity probe produced by Bently Nevada in the United States. It is a core component of the 3300 XL sensor system and is specifically designed for industrial rotating machinery vibration, shaft displacement, and speed/shaft key signal monitoring. It is widely used in state monitoring and protection systems of critical equipment in power generation, oil and gas, and chemical industries.
II. Model Analysis (330101-00-30-10-02-05)
330101: Basic model, 3300 XL 8mm standard probe;
00: Probe length code (standard length);
30: Cable length 3.0 meters;
10: Probe thread specification 3/8-24 UNF, without armor;
02: Connector type, micro coaxial ClickLoc quick connector;
05: Certification level, including CSA, ATEX, IECEx explosion-proof certifications.
III. Working Principle
Based on the eddy current effect: The high-frequency coil inside the probe is connected to an alternating current, generating an alternating magnetic field; when close to the metal rotating shaft (conductor), the surface of the conductor induces eddy currents, and the reverse magnetic field changes the impedance / inductance of the probe coil; the preamplifier (Proximitor) detects this change, converts it into a negative voltage signal corresponding to the linear gap, achieving non-contact displacement/vibration measurement.
IV. Technical Parameters
Measurement range: 8mm system, linear range 2.0mm;
Sensitivity: 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), error ±5%;
Linearity: ≤±0.025 mm (±1 mil);
Output signal: -1 VDC to -17 VDC (linear range);
Recommended working gap: approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils), corresponding to output -9 VDC;
Frequency response: 0 to 10 kHz;
Probe resistance (25℃): 7.59 Ω ±0.50 Ω (3m cable);
Operating temperature: -51℃ to +177℃ (-60℉ to +350℉);
Shell material: AISI 303/304 stainless steel;
Cable insulation: FEP (fluoroethylene propylene), resistant to oil and aging;
Protection level: IP65;
Certifications: CE, UL, CSA, ATEX, IECEx (explosion-proof).
V. Structure and Features
Mechanical structure:
Unarmored design, 3/8-24 UNF external thread, convenient for installation and fixation;
The tip of the probe is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), resistant to high temperature and good insulation;
3-meter standard cable, equipped with micro coaxial ClickLoc connector, reliable connection and resistant to vibration loosening.
Core advantages:
High precision, high stability: nanometer-level resolution, small temperature drift, reliable long-term operation;
Strong anti-interference: EMI/RFI suppression capability meets CE standards, suitable for industrial strong electromagnetic environments;
Components interchangeable: probe, extension cable, preamplifier do not need to match and calibrate, maintenance is convenient;
Complete explosion-proof certification: suitable for flammable and explosive hazardous areas (such as oil platforms, chemical plants).
VI. System Composition and Compatibility
As a part of the 3300 XL 8mm sensor system, the complete monitoring unit includes:
This probe (330101-00-30-10-02-05);
3300 XL extension cable; 3300 XL Front End (Proximitor Sensor).
Compatible with Bentley 3500/3300 monitoring framework, it can be connected to DCS/PLC systems to achieve real-time monitoring, alarm and interlock protection.
VII. Typical Applications
Power Industry: Steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, feedwater pumps, induced draft fans / exhaust fans;
Oil and Gas Industry: Centrifugal compressors, pipeline pumps, LNG facilities rotating equipment;
Chemical / Metallurgical: Large motors, fans, gearboxes, high-speed rotating machinery;
Main Monitoring Parameters: Radial vibration of the shaft, axial displacement, eccentricity, key signal / rotational speed.
VIII. Installation and Maintenance Tips
Installation Gap: Adjust to approximately 1.27 mm (‑9 VDC) statically to avoid probe friction with the shaft;
Fixation Method: Tighten with threads and lock with a locknut to prevent vibration loosening;
Cable Installation: Avoid strong electromagnetic interference sources and keep the bending radius no less than 5 times the cable diameter;
Regular Calibration: It is recommended to calibrate once a year to ensure measurement accuracy;
Fault Troubleshooting: When signal drift / abnormality occurs, check the joint connection, cable damage and environmental temperature changes.
IX. Precautions
Do not use beyond the temperature and pressure limits; avoid mechanical impact of the probe;
Installation in explosion-proof areas must strictly follow ATEX/IECEx specifications;
Do not mix with non-Bentley original components; otherwise, it will affect accuracy and stability.
