Overview

Principle

The Cutler-Hammer HMCP150U4CBP10 monitors phase current of the motor circuit. When a short-circuit fault occurs and the current exceeds the selected magnetic threshold, the internal magnetic trip mechanism instantly releases the contacts to isolate the fault. It does not provide thermal overload protection; overload protection is realized by the matched thermal relay.
