EGE SKM 420 GR

Description

EGE SKM 420 GR

Overview

The EGE SKM 420 GR is a DIN-rail mount evaluation amplifier from the SKM 420 series for EGE thermal flow sensors. It processes the sensor signal and provides a relay NO switching output for flow supervision, flow-loss alarm and fan/actuator control. It is powered by 24 VDC and features an LED bar graph for flow indication. It is widely used in gas and liquid flow monitoring skids, furnace air supervision and safety interlock systems.

Features

The EGE SKM 420 GR is designed for matching EGE thermal flow probes.SKM 420 GR provides relay normally open switching output, distinct from the 4–20 mA analog version SKM 420 GA. LED bar graph on front panel for visual flow trend indication. 24 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection. Compact 17.5 mm width DIN rail housing for cabinet installation. Screw terminal connection, easy wiring and replacement. Suitable for safety flow absence interlock in thermal process and exhaust monitoring.

Specs

Device Type: Flow Sensor Evaluation Amplifier Model: EGE SKM 420 GR Part No.: P10530 Supply: 24 V DC ±20% Output: Relay NO contact Max switching voltage: 230 VAC / 30 VDC Max switching current: 1 A AC / 1 A DC Max switching power: 125 VA Ambient temperature: -20 °C ~ +60 °C Protection: Housing IP40, terminals IP20 Mounting: DIN rail, width 17.5 mm

Principle

The EGE SKM 420 GR receives the weak thermal signal from the flow probe. After internal amplification and threshold comparison, it drives the relay contact. When the flow drops below the set threshold, the relay changes state to trigger warning or safety interlock.

Applications

The EGE SKM 420 GR is paired with EGE flow probes for airflow supervision, exhaust gas flow monitoring, burner safety interlock and liquid flow loss detection. The EGE SKM 420 GR is stocked as spare amplifier for legacy EGE flow supervision systems.
