Overview

The CUTLER HAMMER HJD3250F is an Eaton Series C J-frame molded case circuit breaker frame, originally branded Cutler-Hammer. This unit is only the breaker frame without trip unit installed. It supports interchangeable thermal‑magnetic trip units, rated 3‑pole, 250 A frame, 600 VAC / 250 VDC. It is widely used in industrial MCC panels, process power distribution skids and machinery main feed protection.

Principle

The CUTLER HAMMER HJD3250F provides the mechanical housing, contact assembly and bus connections. After installing the matching thermal‑magnetic trip unit, it achieves overload and short-circuit protection for distribution circuits. The trip unit senses overcurrent and triggers the internal mechanism to open the main contacts.

Applications

The CUTLER HAMMER HJD3250F is used as main or branch circuit protection in industrial MCC cabinets, chemical process skids, water treatment power distribution and heavy machinery control panels.
