Overview

The SEIKOM ELECTRONIC F8.1/M8 is a thermal calorimetric flow sensor probe of the Seikom F8 family. The suffix M8 stands for M8 connector version. The code 12358/P-6 is the factory serial / calibration number for traceability. It is designed for gas flow monitoring inside ducts, furnaces and exhaust pipelines, and must be matched with the corresponding evaluation unit (NLSW series). It is widely used in boiler, oven, thermal treatment and exhaust gas monitoring skids for flow absence safety interlock.

The SEIKOM ELECTRONIC F8.1/M8 adopts calorimetric thermal measurement principle.F8.1/M8 is fitted with M8 plug connector for quick separation between probe and cable. V4A stainless steel probe body, suitable for high-temperature flue gas and slightly corrosive gas. Supports gas flow detection, used for flow loss / flow supervision safety function. Requires a separate Seikom evaluation unit to process the sensor signal and output relay alarm. Available with SIL safety certified variants for safety-related furnace protection. IP50 probe protection, pressure resistance up to 10 bar.

Principle

The SEIKOM ELECTRONIC F8.1/M8 contains two temperature sensing elements. One element is heated; the gas flow carries heat away and creates a temperature difference. The evaluation unit converts this temperature difference into flow velocity signal and judges whether the flow is present or below the threshold for safety alarm.

Applications

The SEIKOM ELECTRONIC F8.1/M8 is deployed for furnace airflow supervision, exhaust gas flow monitoring, burner safety interlock in heat treatment plants and thermal process skids. The SEIKOM ELECTRONIC F8.1/M8 is stocked as spare flow sensor probe for existing Seikom flow supervision systems.
