ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 140G Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker
Description
ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 140G Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker
Overview
The ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 is a 3-pole thermal-magnetic molded case circuit breaker from Rockwell Automation 140G series, G frame (125A frame size). The ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 has a rated current of 80 A, with 25 kA interrupting rating at 480 V AC. It provides overload protection via thermal trip and short-circuit protection via magnetic trip, widely used for feeder, motor and distribution branch protection in industrial control panels, process skids and power distribution systems. It is an active standard spare for low-voltage power distribution retrofit and replacement.
Features
The ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 adopts fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit, no adjustable trip setting. The ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 supports a full range of field-fit accessories including auxiliary contacts, shunt trip, undervoltage release and rotary handle operators. The toggle operating mechanism delivers clear ON/OFF status indication. It complies with UL489 and IEC 60947-2 standards, supports copper 75°C cable connection. Same catalog number can be directly replaced in the cabinet without busbar modification.
Specs

Principle
The thermal bimetallic element inside the ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 heats and bends under continuous overload current to trigger the trip mechanism for long-time overload protection. Under short-circuit fault, the magnetic coil instantly generates strong electromagnetic force to release the trip latch and cut off the circuit rapidly. The breaker contacts isolate the downstream load from the main power supply after tripping.
Applications
The ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 protects distribution feeders, pump and fan motor circuits, and control power branches in factory automation, water treatment, oil & gas skids and power rooms. The ALLEN BRADLEY 140G-G2C3-C80 is stocked as spare part for breaker replacement and low-voltage cabinet maintenance. It also applies to new power panel construction and branch protection upgrade.
