Description

NIDEC M200-01200042A Unidrive M200 Variable Frequency Drive

Overview

The NIDEC M200-01200042A is a compact general-purpose single-phase AC variable frequency drive belonging to the NIDEC Control Techniques Unidrive M200 series. The NIDEC M200-01200042A supports open-loop RFC-A rotor flux control for standard asynchronous motors, delivering stable speed regulation for pumps, fans, conveyors and simple machinery. It is equipped with built-in logic programming capability and flexible I/O terminals, and supports optional communication modules for industrial network connection. The NIDEC M200-01200042A is a widely stocked spare unit for packaging, water treatment and factory automation retrofit and maintenance.

Features

The NIDEC M200-01200042A accepts single-phase 200V to 240V AC input and drives three-phase induction motors. It includes integrated PID controller, ramp function, skip frequency and overload protection for continuous process control. The NIDEC M200-01200042A supports optional fieldbus adapters such as FENA series for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP networking. It uses removable keypad for parameter setting, copy and backup, and carries EMC filtering and built-in braking transistor as standard for small inertia load applications. The NIDEC M200-01200042A adopts 35 mm DIN rail mounting and consistent terminal definition for direct replacement in existing M200 racks.

Specs

Device Type: General-purpose AC variable frequency drive Model: NIDEC M200-01200042A Series: Unidrive M200 Input: Single-phase 200–240 V AC Motor Output: Three-phase AC Control Algorithm: RFC-A open-loop rotor flux control Control Functions: PID, skip frequency, acceleration / deceleration ramp, internal PLC logic Communication: Optional FENA / SI fieldbus adapter Keypad: Removable LED keypad Mounting: 35 mm DIN rail inside cabinet Protection Grade: IP20 Application: Conveyor, pump, fan, packaging machine, light industrial automation equipment

Principle

The NIDEC M200-01200042A converts fixed single-phase mains supply into adjustable three-phase voltage and frequency output for the motor. The internal control board receives start-stop commands and speed reference from I/O terminals or fieldbus, then runs RFC-A motor control algorithm to adjust output. The NIDEC M200-01200042A continuously monitors output current, DC bus voltage and motor thermal status, and triggers alarm and trip protection when overload, overvoltage, undervoltage or short circuit occurs.

Applications

The NIDEC M200-01200042A is used for low-power speed regulation in water treatment, chemical auxiliary systems and packaging production lines. It serves energy-saving control for fans and pumps and speed synchronization for simple conveying equipment. The NIDEC M200-01200042A applies to spare stock and emergency replacement of legacy Unidrive M200 drive assemblies. It also supports low-cost drive network transformation and parameter migration projects.
