Overview

The ZLG USBCAN-E-U is a single-channel USB‑to‑CAN bus interface card from ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics USBCAN‑E‑U series. The ZLG USBCAN-E-U complies with CAN2.0A and CAN2.0B standards, allowing a personal computer to connect to industrial CAN networks via USB2.0 full speed interface. It supports CAN data receiving, transmitting, monitoring and offline logging, and works with CANtest and ZCANPRO software for configuration, bus diagnosis and DBC decoding. The ZLG USBCAN-E-U is widely stocked as spare debugging tool and communication adapter for automotive, machine tool, new energy and DCS CAN‑bus systems.

Features

The ZLG USBCAN-E-U supports adjustable baud rate from 5Kbps up to 1Mbps, with 14000 frames per second receiving capacity and 4000 frames per second transmitting capacity for each channel. The ZLG USBCAN-E-U is powered by USB bus, and optional external 9V‑25V DC power supply is available when USB power is insufficient. It provides 120Ω terminal resistor switch for CAN bus matching, and EMC protection for industrial environment anti‑interference. The ZLG USBCAN-E-U supports Windows driver and secondary development API, and adopts DB9 standard CAN connector for fast wiring. Principle

The ZLG USBCAN-E-U converts CAN differential signals into USB data packets and forwards data to PC, and reversely converts USB commands into CAN bus frames to send onto the CAN network. The built‑in CAN controller handles frame filtering, error checking and bus error statistics. The ZLG USBCAN-E-U continuously monitors bus status such as bus off, error warning and overload, and reports fault status to the upper software.

Applications

The ZLG USBCAN-E-U is used for CAN bus debugging, data capture and protocol testing for automotive electronics, battery management systems, packaging machinery and industrial motion control devices.
