Description
HBM T40B
The T40B is a high-precision digital flange torque transducer from HBM, designed for static and dynamic torque measurement on rotating drivetrains. This T40B adopts non-contact power supply and digital signal transmission without slip rings, delivering maintenance-free and reliable long-term operation for test bench environments. The T40B achieves 0.03% linearity including hysteresis and excellent temperature stability, covering rated torque ranges from 50 Nm up to 10 kNm to match diverse test requirements.
This T40B integrates a magnetic speed sensing module, which captures rotational speed and reference pulse signals synchronously to calculate mechanical power in real time. The T40B supports multiple output options including analog voltage, frequency and TMC digital interface, compatible with TIM-EC EtherCAT and TIM-PN Profinet modules for seamless integration into modern automation and test control systems. The robust mechanical structure of the T40B features high torsional stiffness and strong resistance to lateral and bending loads, which minimizes measurement error under complex dynamic working conditions.
The T40B is widely applied for electric motor, gearbox, powertrain and end-of-line performance test benches in automotive, aerospace and industrial drivetrain research labs. The high-speed variant of the T40B can reach up to 23000 rpm, making it suitable for high-speed electric drive testing. Many test facilities and calibration workshops stock the T40B as spare measurement hardware for bench overhaul and sensor replacement.
