Description
MODICON ARG 120-166-305
MODICON ARG 120-166-305 is a dedicated brushless servo drive controller for Modicon motion control systems, built for precise positioning and synchronized motion in automated fastening and fixture assembly stations. It receives position and speed commands from the main PLC, outputs power to drive servo motors and maintains closed-loop torque and position regulation for high-repeatability production tasks. The drive executes motion instructions, the servo unit works with encoder feedback to eliminate position drift, and the automation motion control supports multi-axis synchronous operation for bolt tightening equipment.

The drive supports three control modes including position, speed and torque, with configurable motion profiles and real-time encoder feedback monitoring. It can detect overcurrent, overspeed, encoder loss and overload faults, and trigger fast alarm and stop signals to avoid mechanical collision and component damage. The servo control loop adopts high-speed sampling to reduce tracking error during rapid acceleration and deceleration. Engineers can set target position, speed curve and acceleration parameters for each automation motion task, and all operating data, alarm codes and position logs can be uploaded to the PLC for quality traceability and equipment maintenance.
This drive adopts rugged industrial housing with outstanding anti-interference performance, suitable for long-term continuous operation in dusty workshop environments with vibration and temperature fluctuation. The servo communication interface follows Modicon standard bus protocol for seamless connection with CPU and other automation modules. It supports online parameter tuning and real-time status monitoring to stabilize the whole automation workflow, shorten commissioning and troubleshooting time and reduce assembly quality defects caused by inaccurate motion.
