MODICON AS-B883-111

Description

MODICON AS-B883-111

MODICON AS-B883-111 belongs to Modicon 800 series, a cam emulator module with velocity compensation function for PLC rack-based automation systems. It tracks rotary encoder position signals and generates programmable cam switch outputs according to rotating angle and speed, used for synchronous sequence control on rotating machinery and automated assembly stations. The cam module simulates mechanical cam logic, the encoder signal captures real-time shaft position, and the automation synchronization realizes precise timing action control for fastening stations and conveying equipment.

The cam module supports multi-segment cam curve setting, angle trigger point configuration and dynamic velocity compensation. It can automatically adjust trigger points according to shaft speed to eliminate timing deviation caused by speed change. The encoder input channel receives pulse signals from rotary encoders and converts position data into cam switching states for the PLC program. Engineers can set dozens of angle trigger points for different actions in each automation cycle, and all position status, cam output state and fault information are uploaded to the CPU for logic judgment and fault diagnosis.

This cam module adopts single-slot plug-in design for standard Modicon backplane installation, supporting convenient replacement during maintenance. The encoder interface has built-in signal filtering and anti-interference circuits to resist electrical noise from motor and inverter equipment. It supports high-speed position sampling and real-time cam output response to stabilize the whole automation workflow, reduce synchronization errors and lower assembly reject rates caused by out-of-step actions.
