KEBA FM265/A Profibus DP Slave Communication Module

The KEBA FM265/A is a Profibus DP slave communication module belonging to the KeConnect C2 series, designed for the KEBA Kemro K2-200 control platform widely adopted on injection molding machinery. It supports DPV-1 protocol and achieves cyclic process data and acyclic parameter transmission with maximum baud rate up to 12 Mbit/s. The module features galvanic isolation on signal lines and strong anti-interference capability to adapt to complex industrial workshop environments. It connects directly to CPU modules via internal K-bus or works with bus couplers for system expansion. LED indicators display running status and fault alarms for convenient on-site diagnosis. Widely used as original communication expansion component and maintenance spare part for plastic processing automation equipment.

Description

The KEBA FM265/A is a dedicated Profibus DP slave interface module developed for KEBA Kemro K2-200 series control systems, serving as an essential fieldbus expansion unit for injection molding machines and plastic processing automation equipment. Integrated with mature Profibus DPV-1 protocol stack, this module establishes reliable data links between KEBA main CPU and peripheral Profibus field devices. It supports both cyclic real-time process data exchange and acyclic parameter access, ensuring seamless coordination among controllers, servo drives, sensors and actuators on the production equipment.

The communication module supports adjustable transmission rates ranging from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s. Corresponding maximum cable length varies with baud rate, meeting different cabinet layout and on-site wiring requirements. Signal circuits adopt galvanic isolation design to effectively suppress common-mode interference, preventing communication interruption caused by electromagnetic noise from hydraulic valves, inverters and contactors inside molding workshops. Equipped with an electronic parameter chip, the module can store configuration information, simplifying device replacement and parameter recovery during maintenance.
Mechanical structure follows standard plug-in design, which can be directly mounted on KEBA CPU modules through internal K-bus interface. Users can also deploy multiple distributed modules by matching bus couplers for flexible system expansion. Status and fault LED indicators on the front panel intuitively reflect bus communication state, making troubleshooting more efficient. Operating power is supplied via the K-bus without extra external power wiring, optimizing internal cabinet wiring layout. The module works stably within 5°C to 55°C and complies with industrial EMC specifications.
As a classic fieldbus expansion accessory for KEBA molding machine control solutions, the FM265/A is frequently demanded for equipment overhaul and emergency spare replacement. Original new products often have long delivery cycles, and fully tested refurbished modules are widely used in aftermarket maintenance. Regular inspection of bus connectors and periodic backup of communication configuration parameters help avoid unexpected communication failures, guaranteeing continuous and stable operation of plastic processing automation production lines.
