GE AT868W-1-1-1-1 is Panametrics AquaTrans transit-time ultrasonic flow transmitter. It measures liquid flow in full pipes, compatible with clamp-on sensors, widely used as metering spare part in water treatment and power plants.

GE AT868W-1-1-1-1 belongs to GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 series ultrasonic liquid flow transmitter, adopting patented Correlation Transit-Time measurement principle. The instrument calculates fluid velocity, volumetric flow rate and flow direction by detecting the travel time difference of ultrasonic signals upstream and downstream.
This configuration is single-channel design for independent pipeline flow monitoring. Equipped with backlit LCD display and local keypad, it supports on-site parameter configuration, real-time flow data viewing, totalizer management and built-in signal diagnostic functions. The all-digital circuit has no moving parts, effectively lowering long-term maintenance requirements.
It provides standard 4–20mA analog output and pulse/frequency output, supporting seamless data transmission to PLC, DCS and upper monitoring systems. The robust NEMA 4X / IP66 aluminum enclosure supports indoor and outdoor wall-mounted installation. The transmitter works well with clamp-on non-intrusive transducers and insertion wetted transducers. Clamp-on installation avoids pipeline cutting and production shutdown, suitable for retrofitting existing pipelines.
The device is mainly applied for measuring acoustically conductive liquids including raw water, circulating cooling water, clean wastewater and industrial process water. Comprehensive self-diagnosis continuously monitors ultrasonic signal quality and cable status, helping maintenance staff quickly locate field faults.
This classic flowmeter model has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Available inventory is mainly used for equipment overhaul, field replacement and spare backup of legacy flow measurement systems in municipal water supply, wastewater treatment, thermal power, petrochemical and industrial circulating water projects. Original surplus and fully tested refurbished units can be supplied for on-site maintenance.
Before installation, technicians need to confirm pipe material, pipe diameter, liquid medium and matched transducer specifications. Maintain good coupling between transducer and pipe outer surface; avoid sharp bending and stretching of signal cables. Regular inspection of coupling condition and cable integrity ensures stable measuring performance.
