I. Core Positioning

MP6004 is the new generation host CPU of Tricon. It must be installed in pairs / in three redundant units in the CPU slots of the host frame; it adopts the TMR triple redundancy architecture, with three independent CPUs operating synchronously and hardware voting for three-out-of-two decision-making. It is responsible for the execution of safety logic, I/O management, communication, interlock operation, and fault diagnosis. It is the core brain of the entire SIS system, with stronger performance, larger capacity, and more interfaces than MP2101.
