Description

GE RMS70002350 10055957G1

Overview

GE RMS70002350, drawing reference 10055957G1, is an electronic solid-state trip unit for GE RMS7 series moulded case circuit breakers. It is a plug-in type protection release, supporting configurable overload, short-circuit and earth fault protection functions, widely supplied as exchange spare for LV distribution boards, generator feeders, MCC panels and industrial power switchgear overhaul and replacement.

Features

GE RMS70002350 10055957G1 supports LS, LSI and LSIG protection modes. Long-time overload Ir, short-time delay Isd and instantaneous Ii can be adjusted on the trip unit; LSIG version adds residual earth-fault protection for ground fault sensitive circuits. The unit integrates current measurement, pre-alarm warning and fault memory to retain the last trip record for post-fault analysis.

GE RMS70002350 10055957G1 plugs directly into the RMS7 breaker frame and works with the breaker’s internal current transformers. It supports optional communication accessories for power metering and SCADA integration. The front panel status indicators provide fast visual inspection of operating and alarm conditions. It complies with IEC 60947-2 and industrial EMC standards.

Specs

GE RMS70002350 10055957G1Platform: GE RMS7 series MCCB Type: electronic trip unit assembly Part number: RMS70002350 Drawing: 10055957G1 Protection functions: LS / LSI / LSIG configurable Adjustable parameters: Ir, Isd, Ii, earth fault pickup (LSIG) Built-in functions: current metering, pre-alarm, fault storage Compatible breaker: GE RMS7 moulded case circuit breaker Mounting: plug-in installation inside RMS7 breaker Protection rating: IP20 This is not a complete MCCB, contactor or relay; it is the solid-state trip core for GE RMS7 low voltage breaker protection. GE RMS70002350 10055957G1 is widely supplied as service replacement spare for power distribution protection trip failure.

Principle

GE RMS70002350 10055957G1 samples phase current signals from the breaker internal CTs. The electronic circuit compares measured current with configured protection thresholds. Sustained overload triggers long-time delayed tripping; high short-circuit current triggers short-time delay or instantaneous trip. LSIG version monitors residual current for earth fault protection. Once tripped, the trip unit latches the fault state and actuates the breaker mechanical opening mechanism.

Applications

GE RMS70002350 10055957G1 is deployed for low voltage main switchboards, generator outgoing circuits, large motor feeders and process plant distribution systems. It is selected for spare inventory and switchgear retrofit projects for existing GE RMS7 distribution systems.
