Description

GE RMS70002433 10055957G1

Overview

GE RMS70002433, drawing reference 10055957G1, is the RMS7 series electronic trip unit for GE low voltage moulded case circuit breakers. This programmable solid-state trip assembly provides adjustable overload, short-circuit and earth fault protection, widely supplied as exchange spare for GE RMS7 MCCB distribution panels, generator feeders, MCC cabinets and industrial power switchgear overhaul and replacement.

Features

GE RMS70002433 10055957G1 supports LS, LSI or LSIG protection functions depending on configuration. Long-time overload pickup Ir, short-time delay Isd and instantaneous Ii thresholds are adjustable on the trip faceplate; LSIG version adds residual earth fault protection for ground fault sensitive circuits. It integrates current metering, pre-alarm warning and fault memory to capture the last trip cause for post-fault analysis.

GE RMS70002433 10055957G1 plugs directly into the RMS7 frame breaker body and works with built-in current transformers inside the MCCB. It supports optional local display and communication accessories for integration with power monitoring and SCADA systems. The trip unit is designed for industrial continuous-duty environments and complies with IEC 60947-2 and EMC requirements.

Specs

GE RMS70002433 10055957G1Platform: GE RMS7 series MCCB Type: electronic trip unit assembly Part number: RMS70002433 Drawing: 10055957G1 Protection functions: LS / LSI / LSIG configurable Adjustable settings: Ir, Isd, Ii, earth fault pickup (LSIG) Features: current measurement, fault memory, pre-alarm indication Compatible breaker: GE RMS7 moulded case circuit breaker Mounting: plug-in onto RMS7 breaker frame Protection rating: IP20 This is not a complete MCCB, contactor or relay; it is the electronic trip unit core for RMS7 low voltage power breaker protection. GE RMS70002433 10055957G1 is widely supplied as service replacement spare for power distribution protection trip failure.

Principle

GE RMS70002433 10055957G1 samples phase current signals from the breaker’s internal CTs. The electronic circuit compares measured current against the configured protection thresholds. Sustained overload triggers long-time delayed tripping; high short-circuit current triggers short-time delay or instantaneous trip; LSIG variant monitors residual current for earth fault protection. Once tripped, the unit latches the fault information and commands the breaker operating mechanism to open the main contacts.

Applications

GE RMS70002433 10055957G1 is deployed for LV main switchboards, generator outgoing feeders, large motor circuits and industrial process distribution. It is selected for spare inventory and switchgear retrofit projects for existing GE RMS7 low voltage distribution systems.
