Overview

Principle

SIEMENS 3RT1264-6AP36 closes the main contacts when the coil is energized. Current is switched inside the sealed vacuum interrupter; the vacuum medium quickly extinguishes the electric arc upon opening. When the coil is de‑energized, spring force separates the contacts and interrupts the load current. Auxiliary contacts change state synchronously with the main poles to send running or fault status signals to the PLC and control circuit.

Applications
