Triconex 3603B Rev

The 3603B is a 16-channel high voltage digital output (HVDO) module for Triconex Tricon TMR safety instrumented system, rated 110/120VDC, compatible with multiple hardware revisions marked as Rev. This 3603B adopts triple modular redundancy voting architecture, SIL3 certified, designed to drive safety solenoid valves, trip relays, motor starters and alarm loads in safety shutdown loops. The Rev marking indicates the hardware revision level, which defines PCB layout, component version and firmware compatibility for spare replacement.

This 3603B supports supervised output diagnostics for each channel, detecting open circuit, short circuit and load fault conditions. Front LED indicators show module health, channel status and fault alarms for fast troubleshooting. It fits the standard Tricon backplane rack, hot-swappable without shutting down the whole SIS system. It is configured and diagnosed via TriStation 1131 software. Different revision versions are not always fully interchangeable; revision matching is required during spare replacement to avoid compatibility issues.

The 3603B is widely deployed in oil & gas, refinery, chemical and power plant SIS, ESD and turbine safety control systems. The Tricon classic series including 3603B is discontinued by Triconex (Schneider). Most available 3603B Rev units are tested surplus spare parts for safety cabinet overhaul and emergency trip circuit replacement.
