Siemens 6DD1682-0CC0 & 6DD1683-0CC0

The 6DD1682-0CC0 is the SR12.1 12-slot subrack chassis for Siemens SIMADYN D high-speed drive control system, and the 6DD1683-0CC0 is the matching SP22 power supply module installed inside this rack. This 6DD1682-0CC0 provides the mechanical mounting frame, backplane L-bus and C-bus for SIMADYN D CPU, I/O and communication boards, with integrated safety structure and rack interlock. The 6DD1683-0CC0 takes 24VDC input and outputs stable 5V,15V and auxiliary DC voltages to supply all boards inside the subrack.

This 6DD1682-0CC0 subrack supports side-by-side assembly and is widely combined with PM4, PM5 processor modules and SB, SE series I/O boards. The 6DD1683-0CC0 power unit includes overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent protection, front status LEDs for power and fault indication. The two parts are commonly used as a set for rolling mill, paper machine, turbine governor and large coordinated multi-axis drive control loops. Service technicians use this combination as direct drop-in replacement for overhaul and emergency shutdown recovery of legacy SIMADYN D control cabinets.

The SIMADYN D platform is fully discontinued by Siemens. Most available 6DD1682-0CC0 and 6DD1683-0CC0 units are tested surplus spare parts for lifecycle support of old metallurgical and process drive systems.
