SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC MODICON TM3BCSL is the Modbus Serial Line bus coupler for Schneider Modicon TM3 distributed I/O system, designed to build remote I/O islands for Modicon M221/M241/M251/M262 PLC controllers. The bus coupler module acts as the communication gateway between Modbus RS485 serial fieldbus and the whole TM3 digital/analog I/O rack. The bus coupler module automatically detects all connected TM3 I/O modules and creates local process image for bidirectional data exchange with the master PLC via Modbus RTU protocol. The bus coupler module is equipped with two isolated RS485 ports supporting daisy-chain wiring, plus one Mini-USB port for local parameter configuration and firmware update. The bus coupler module supplies power to the backplane of TM3 I/O rack and monitors bus status and module health automatically.
