1786-TPR Product Description

Description

1786-TPR Product Description Allen-Bradley 1786-TPR, also named ControlNet right-angle coaxial T-tap, is a passive network tap component for ControlNet industrial fieldbus system. It is designed to connect network nodes to ControlNet coaxial trunk cable, supporting stable bus signal tapping for old automation equipment renovation.

This tap delivers reliable signal tapping for industrial network tasks. The signal tapping supports 75-ohm coaxial ControlNet network connection. The signal tapping realizes node branch connection without breaking main trunk cable. Stable signal tapping completes network access for PLC, I/O adapters and drives.

The built-in coaxial structure achieves steady signal transmission. The signal transmission keeps 5Mbps high-speed ControlNet communication. The signal transmission reduces signal attenuation and maintains signal integrity. Accurate signal transmission ensures bus communication following ControlNet network rules.

Right-angle compact structure brings convenient cable routing. Cable routing saves cabinet internal installation space. Cable routing connects trunk cable and node via BNC coaxial connectors. Flexible cable routing is widely used for legacy ControlNet system spare replacement.

1786-TPR supports passive non-powered operation and matched impedance design, equipped with BNC coaxial connectors for ControlNet wiring. It adopts right-angle outlet to release cable stress. Widely applied in production line control systems, material handling equipment and traditional assembly lines. This product is discontinued by Rockwell Automation, mainly supplied as industrial spare parts, complying with ControlNet coaxial media standards.
