GM868 is a transit-time ultrasonic gas flow host under Baker Hughes Panametrics, supporting single-channel and dual-channel configuration. Matched with external clamp-on or wetted ultrasonic transducers, it realizes bidirectional measurement of gas velocity, volumetric flow, mass flow and cumulative flow. Widely applied in petrochemical flare gas, natural gas pipeline, industrial compressed gas and power plant auxiliary gas metering, featuring no pressure loss and low maintenance cost

Description

GM868 adopts the patented Correlation Transit-Time measurement algorithm, cooperating with matched ultrasonic probes to transmit and receive acoustic signals inside pipelines. The internal high-speed digital signal processing unit automatically calculates sound velocity and flow rate, and completes real-time correction through external pressure and temperature signals to output standard volume and mass flow data. The product supports pipeline diameters ranging from 25 mm to 3000 mm, with measurable flow velocity of 0.3~50 m/s, and the system measurement accuracy can reach ±0.5% of reading under ideal installation conditions, with excellent repeatability up to 0.2%Baker Hugh.... Dual-channel mode can realize two-path flow averaging to optimize measurement precision under distorted flow field, or monitor flow data of two independent pipelines simultaneously.

The transmitter casing is epoxy-coated aluminum with NEMA 4X / IP66 protection grade, and flameproof explosion-proof certification for Class I Division 1 hazardous areas is available to adapt to flammable and explosive gas working conditions. Equipped with a 16-character backlit LCD display and infrared operation keypad, field personnel can complete parameter configuration, real-time data viewing and fault code query locally. Rich communication and output interfaces are reserved, including isolated 4–20mA analog output, RS232, RS485 Modbus and Ethernet Modbus TCP, which can stably upload metering data to DCS systems and data acquisition platforms. The equipment supports multiple power supply modes of AC 100~265V and DC 24V, meeting the power supply requirements of control rooms and field instrument cabinets.

The matched transducer materials include titanium, Monel and Hastelloy, adapting to medium temperatures from -190°C to 450°C and maximum working pressure up to 240bar. The non-intrusive installation method will not generate pipeline pressure drop and will not cause abrasion and blockage of fluid medium, greatly reducing later maintenance workload. Built-in complete self-diagnosis function, which can feed back abnormal information such as weak signals and probe faults through error codes to facilitate rapid troubleshooting by maintenance personnel. Each GM868 host undergoes long-term power aging and precision calibration before delivery to ensure long-term stable operation in complex electromagnetic industrial environments.

Aging of circuit boards, probe contamination and cable damage will cause measurement drift or signal interruption. Replacement with original supporting probes and dedicated signal cables can quickly restore the metering accuracy of the gas measurement system and shorten equipment downtime. New GM868 sets are used for gas metering system construction and transformation projects, while spare hosts are used for backup and replacement of online monitoring equipment. Accurate gas flow data helps enterprises realize flare gas emission statistics, material balance settlement and pipeline leakage monitoring, reduce energy waste and environmental compliance risks, and provide reliable metering support for safe operation of long-cycle industrial gas conveying systems.
