GE 710-1144 Ultrasonic Transducer Signal Cable Assembly
Description
This cable assembly is tailor-made to match GE standard ultrasonic transducers used in industrial pipeline flow measurement. The inner conductor adopts high-purity oxygen-free copper with low impedance characteristics, which greatly reduces energy loss of weak ultrasonic echo signals during long-distance laying along cable trenches and pipe racks, and retains complete waveform information required for flow calculation by the host meter. A dual shielding structure consisting of metal braided mesh and conductive wrapping layer is adopted inside the cable structure. This design can effectively isolate electromagnetic noise generated by field inverters, large pumps, welding equipment and high-voltage power distribution facilities, avoiding abnormal data fluctuation and waveform distortion during the long-term running of the measurement system.
The outer sheath is made of wear-resistant, oil-proof and anti-aging high-molecular composite material, adapting to severe working scenes such as damp chemical workshops, power plant oil mist areas and outdoor exposed pipe galleries. Its operating temperature ranges from -20°C to 70°C, and stable insulation and conductive performance can be maintained under 95% non-condensing humidity for long-term bundled laying or open-air installation. Both ends are equipped with integrally injection-molded connectors with standardized pin definitions, enabling plug-and-play connection with transducer sockets and transmitter terminals without on-site manual wiring modification. An internal tensile buffer structure is added to prevent core fracture caused by long-term equipment vibration and external pulling force.
Every batch of 710-1144 passes continuity testing, insulation resistance inspection, sealing test and cyclic tensile fatigue verification before shipment to ensure long-term signal transmission stability. Aging cables are prone to sheath cracking, shielding layer failure and internal wire breakage, which will directly lower the overall measurement accuracy and disturb factory material balance accounting and environmental emission data filing. Replacing with genuine cables can rapidly restore the normal operating state of the metering system and shorten instrument maintenance downtime.
New cables are delivered together with complete flow measurement equipment for new industrial metering projects, while qualified spare cables are widely used in routine maintenance and fault replacement of online flow monitoring devices. This matched cable guarantees persistent accurate operation of pipeline fluid and gas metering links, lowers the failure rate of flow monitoring hardware, and decreases the comprehensive operation and maintenance cost of industrial metering systems under long-cycle continuous industrial production environments.
