GE XMT868i Fixed Ultrasonic Liquid Flow Transmitter

GE XMT868i-1-11-00-07114-0 is a wall-mounted transit-time ultrasonic flow transmitter under Panametrics. Matched with external clamp-on transducers, it achieves continuous non-intrusive flow measurement for industrial liquid pipelines and transmits accurate flow data to factory monitoring platforms for process control and material balance statistics.

Description

GE XMT868i series is a mature fixed online metering solution, and this specific model integrates optimized signal processing hardware for stable long-term flow monitoring of circulating water, cooling media and general industrial liquids. Adopting the external clamping measurement method, the whole measuring loop will not destroy the integrity of the original pipeline structure, requiring no pipeline cutting or process shutdown during installation. There is no internal wetted component, bringing zero pressure loss and no medium pollution risk, which fits long-term unattended operation scenarios of power plant cooling water systems, chemical process fluid pipelines and municipal industrial water delivery pipelines perfectly.

Built-in intelligent digital filtering and waveform compensation algorithms effectively counteract signal attenuation brought by pipeline scaling, pipe wall corrosion, uneven pipe materials and complex field electromagnetic interference from inverters and large motors. The main unit supports dual-channel measurement input to monitor two independent pipeline flow points simultaneously, improving cabinet space utilization for centralized instrument arrangement. Multiple signal output modes including 4–20mA analog signal, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP digital communication are reserved to realize seamless data docking with DCS, SCADA and data acquisition systems for real-time display and historical data recording.

The transmitter casing meets industrial dust-proof and moisture-proof standards, supporting normal operation within an ambient temperature range of -20°C to 60°C with 95% non-condensing humidity inside instrument cabinets. The unit adopts standard DIN rail installation, facilitating quick fixation inside centralized control cabinets with neat wiring layout. Each finished product passes calibration on a certified standard flow bench, long-time powered aging test and insulation performance inspection before factory delivery to guarantee stable measurement accuracy for years of continuous operation.

Original new transmitters are deployed for new industrial pipeline metering projects, while inspected replacement units serve the maintenance renewal of old flow monitoring equipment. Faults such as circuit aging and signal drift of outdated transmitters will cause flow data deviation and affect process parameter adjustment accuracy. Replacing with qualified XMT868i products supports plug-and-play commissioning without complicated parameter modification, greatly shortening equipment maintenance downtime. Accurate flow measurement data helps enterprises optimize fluid transportation energy consumption and realize refined process management, reducing hidden risks of abnormal pipeline operation and lowering the overall operation and maintenance cost of fluid conveying systems during long-cycle industrial production.
