Description
The GE 26/26 dual-element transducer adopts independent transmitting and receiving crystal chips in an integrated shell layout. Compared with single-element probes, its structural design effectively filters interface echoes generated by paint, rust and anti-corrosion coatings on metal surfaces, greatly improving the recognition accuracy of bottom wall echoes during field corrosion thickness detection. The fixed frequency design balances penetration depth and measurement resolution, applicable to conventional carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy pressure-bearing equipment widely used in petrochemical plants, thermal power stations and marine piping systems. The probe wear face uses high-hardness wear-resistant resin material, resisting abrasion from long-time repeated scanning on rough metal surfaces and extending the service cycle of the core wafer component.
The internal damping layer optimizes ultrasonic waveform coherence and suppresses waveform oscillation after emission, so the host instrument can capture accurate thickness data even when detecting unevenly corroded pipe walls and locally thinned areas. The integrated cable is equipped with overall shielding protection to offset electromagnetic interference from surrounding welding equipment and high-power motors in the inspection site, avoiding data jumping and reading failure during continuous scanning operations. The probe body features a compact cylindrical outline with a standard general connector interface, which is plug-and-play compatible with mainstream ultrasonic thickness meters including the EHC series without extra adapter conversion.
This transducer adapts to conventional ambient temperatures ranging from -10°C to 60°C and maintains stable acoustic performance under 95% non-condensing humidity. Each finished 26/26 undergoes acoustic parameter calibration, echo response testing and continuous friction aging inspection before factory delivery to ensure consistent measurement precision across individual probes. In regular safety inspections of boilers, flare pipelines and chemical storage tanks, probe aging and surface scratching are common factors leading to inaccurate thickness readings.
