Danatronics EHC-09 Portable Ultrasonic Corrosion Thickness Gauge

EHC-09 is a mid-range handheld ultrasonic thickness measuring instrument developed by Danatronics for industrial corrosion detection. It adopts echo-to-echo algorithm to eliminate coating interference, measures the residual wall thickness of pipes, pressure vessels and metal equipment with single-side access, and is widely applied in petrochemical, power, shipping and boiler safety inspection as standard non-destructive testing equipment.

Description

Danatronics EHC-09 integrates high-speed ultrasonic signal processing chip and independent echo recognition technology, solving the measurement deviation caused by surface paint, anti-corrosion coating and rust layers on metal workpieces. The equipment supports a maximum measuring range of 0.2 mm to 508 mm, matching single-element and dual-element transducers including high-temperature probes resistant up to 537°C, adapting to thickness inspection of high-temperature steam pipelines and hot furnace equipment without cooling shutdown. It supports 20 measurements per second for fast minimum value locking, which is convenient for quickly locating thin-wall corrosion areas and local thinning defects on container walls.

This thickness gauge is equipped with a monochrome sunlight-readable display and real-time A-scan waveform display function. The built-in vibrating alarm reminds inspectors of out-of-limit thickness data, which is very suitable for noisy industrial workshops where audible alarms cannot be identified. The backlit rubber keypad guarantees smooth operation under dim lighting conditions in pipeline trenches and confined equipment spaces. Three adjustable gain gears of low, standard and high (3dB step adjustment) effectively compensate ultrasonic signal attenuation on thick workpieces or rough metal surfaces, improving data stability in complex on-site conditions.

The whole machine adopts an ergonomic integrated plastic shell with IP54 dustproof and splash-proof grade, powered by two AA batteries for up to 200 hours of continuous operation, greatly reducing frequent battery replacement during long-term field inspection tasks. It supports automatic zero calibration and two-point standard block calibration to ensure long-term measurement accuracy traceable to NIST standards. The built-in transducer wear reminder function helps users replace aging probes in time to avoid measurement errors caused by probe performance degradation. Every finished EHC-09 passes ultrasonic calibration, continuous aging test and environmental adaptability inspection before factory delivery.
