GF868 is a professional ultrasonic mass flowmeter launched by GE Panametrics specially for flare gas metering. It meets environmental emission monitoring and plant material balance statistical demands for refineries, chemical plants and natural gas facilities, with non-intrusive installation and maintenance-free measuring sensors.

Description

GE DigitalFlow GF868 serves as the core metering host for industrial flare stack pipelines, matched with pipeline-mounted ultrasonic transducers to complete whole-process gas flow collection and data operation. Different from traditional differential pressure flow meters, its non-invasive measuring mode will not form pipeline obstruction, pressure loss or component wear, adapting to unstable, bidirectional and pulsating flare gas flow states that frequently appear in petrochemical flare systems. The built-in proprietary molecular weight solving algorithm can dynamically revise measuring errors caused by changes in gas composition, accurately output mass flow data even when flare gas mixes with non-hydrocarbon impurities, providing reliable data support for enterprise flare emission reporting and leak troubleshooting.

This flowmeter host is equipped with a split dual-area LCD display and physical keyboard, supporting independent parameter configuration and data display for two measurement channels. It reserves abundant digital and analog I/O interfaces including Modbus TCP, RS485 and 4–20mA analog signals, realizing seamless data uploading to factory DCS and environmental monitoring platforms. The shell reaches Type 4X/IP66 protection grade, with optional explosion-proof housing conforming to Class I Division 2 explosion-proof standards, stably operating within the cabinet temperature range of -20℃ to 60℃ under 95% non-condensing humidity conditions. The measurable pipe diameter covers 76mm to 3m, and the applicable gas flow velocity ranges from 0.03m/s up to 85m/s, matching almost all mainstream flare pipeline specifications in the petroleum and chemical industry.

Every GF868 meter undergoes standard flow calibration, signal stability test and long-time aging screening before factory delivery to guarantee measurement accuracy better than 0.5% of reading. Internal data logging function records historical flow data for traceability required by environmental supervision departments. Original complete flowmeter sets are applied for new flare system construction projects, while original spare circuit boards, display components and matched transducers are widely used for overhaul replacement of in-service GF868 equipment.
