GE MMS35-321-1-000 Vibration Monitoring Sensor Module

GE MMS35-321-1-000 belongs to the MMS series vibration monitoring accessories, collecting vibration displacement signals of rotating equipment and transmitting processed data to monitoring frames for equipment health assessment.

Description

GE MMS35-321-1-000 is a dedicated proximity sensor assembly matched with GE turbine vibration protection systems, mainly applied to measure shaft radial vibration and shaft position of steam turbines, generators and large rotating pumps. The whole assembly consists of sensing probe, extension cable and front-end signal processing unit, forming a complete non-contact vibration detection unit.
The probe adopts high-precision eddy current measurement principle. It does not make physical contact with the rotating shaft surface during operation, eliminating abrasion loss and ensuring long-term stable measurement performance under high-speed rotation conditions. The internal circuit integrates temperature drift compensation components, which automatically calibrate output signals against temperature changes inside the equipment cabinet and bearing housing, effectively stabilizing measurement precision in long-time continuous operation.
The outer shell of the sensor is made of corrosion-resistant alloy material, with sealed structural design against oil mist, dust and high-temperature steam in the turbine compartment. Standard thread structure is reserved for fixed installation on bearing pedestals, with adjustable installation clearance to meet the installation calibration requirements of eddy current probes. The matched shielded cable restrains external electromagnetic interference from high-power equipment, preventing signal distortion in complex industrial electromagnetic environments.
After converting mechanical vibration displacement into standard electrical signals, the module sends signals to the back-end 3500 series monitoring rack for data analysis, threshold alarm judgment and interlock protection output. All products pass factory dynamic calibration and vibration aging tests, with traceable calibration data. When abnormal shaft vibration, shaft deflection or rotor eccentricity occurs on the unit, the device feeds back abnormal data timely to trigger early warning or protection interlock, avoiding serious mechanical damage and unplanned unit shutdown.
It is widely used in thermal power unit shaft vibration monitoring, industrial large compressor state monitoring and rotating machinery predictive maintenance systems. As a core original spare part for power equipment maintenance, replacement of the MMS35-321-1-000 can quickly restore the integrity of the vibration monitoring loop and lift the overall operational safety of power generation equipment. The standardized interface design simplifies on-site installation, wiring and routine calibration work for maintenance personnel and lowers the overall system operation and maintenance cost.
