Danatronics EHC-09 Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

EHC-09 is a handheld ultrasonic thickness testing instrument for non-destructive measurement of wall thickness of metal pipes, pressure vessels and steel structures. It eliminates cutting workpieces and detects wall thinning caused by corrosion efficiently in industrial maintenance scenariosSOFRANEL

Description

EHC-09 series is a mainstream portable ultrasonic thickness gauge launched by Danatronics for industrial non-destructive corrosion inspection, covering multiple derivative versions including basic EHC-09, data recording type EHC-09B and A-scan imaging type EHC-09DLW to match diversified field detection demands. The device adopts the ultrasonic pulse reflection principle, calculating the residual wall thickness of measured materials by collecting the round-trip propagation time of ultrasonic signals inside solid materials, which is the preferred detection tool for regular corrosion assessment of industrial pressure-bearing equipment.
The whole machine adopts IP54 splash-proof reinforced plastic shell with rubber buffer keypad, resistant to collision, dust and water splash in outdoor construction sites, petrochemical plants and power workshops. The built-in high-definition graphic LCD screen supports real-time display of thickness numerical values, waveform images and alarm status; the backlight and luminous keys support accurate reading and operation under dark narrow working conditions such as pipeline trenches and tank interiors. It is powered by two AA batteries, with a standby life up to 200 hours and 40 hours under backlight state, meeting long-time continuous field inspection work needs.
This thickness gauge supports echo-to-echo measurement function, which can automatically shield the interference of surface coating, paint and rust layers without removing the outer protective layer of workpieces, greatly improving detection efficiency. It supports dual-point calibration and automatic zero calibration at startup, equipped with low, standard and high three-level gain adjustment, compatible with single-element and dual-element probes, and matches high-temperature probes to realize thickness detection of workpieces with surface temperature up to 537℃. High-precision measurement resolution reaches 0.01mm, and the measurable thickness range covers 0.2mm to 1270mm, adapting to carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and most common engineering metal materials.
High-end models are equipped with built-in 100,000-point data logger, supporting data export to Excel via USB interface for centralized filing of inspection reports. The equipment sets up upper and lower limit thickness alarm with vibration and sound dual reminder modes, which can quickly screen unqualified thinning positions of pipelines and storage tanks. It has passed industrial vibration and temperature aging tests, with stable measurement repeatability in long-term use. Widely applied in petrochemical pipeline corrosion monitoring, boiler pressure vessel periodic inspection, ship hull wall thickness detection, railway pipeline maintenance and municipal gas pipeline safety assessment, effectively preventing equipment leakage and safety accidents caused by corrosion thinning and optimizing industrial equipment maintenance cycles and management costs.
