GE 36DL Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter
GE 36DL is a clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter from GE Panametrics. It clamps externally onto pipe walls to measure liquid flow without cutting pipelines, suited for long-term flow monitoring in industrial liquid delivery system
Description
GE 36DL is a non-invasive ultrasonic flow transmitter designed for liquid medium measurement in industrial pipelines. The external clamping installation mode eliminates the need for pipeline cutting, drilling or process shutdown during installation and retrofitting, which greatly reduces construction costs and production interruption risks for running equipment. The device applies the transit-time ultrasonic measurement principle, calculating medium flow velocity and volumetric flow rate by capturing the time difference of ultrasonic signals travelling downstream and upstream.
The host unit supports multiple calibration modes and built-in temperature compensation algorithms to offset measuring deviations brought by liquid temperature changes and pipe material differences. It is compatible with carbon steel, stainless steel, plastic, copper and other common pipeline materials, covering a wide pipe diameter range for water, oil and various industrial process liquids. The integrated signal filtering module suppresses signal interference generated by pipeline vibration, fluid bubbles and surrounding electromagnetic noise, guaranteeing stable measuring data under complex on-site working conditions.
Standard analog output and digital communication interfaces are reserved for seamless data uploading to DCS, PLC and centralized monitoring platforms. The whole instrument undergoes strict environmental screening tests, with good dustproof and moistureproof performance to adapt to harsh environments in chemical plants, power plants, water supply systems and petroleum transportation stations. Its modular structure facilitates daily inspection and simple troubleshooting work for maintenance staff. Since no wetted parts contact the measured medium, there is no abrasion, scaling or medium pollution problems, lowering long-term maintenance frequency and operating expenses of the flow measurement system. It is widely deployed in circulating water measurement, crude oil transportation flow monitoring, chemical process liquid metering and municipal water pipeline flow statistics.
