GE NC22 M-Series Alumina Dew Point Moisture Probe

NC22 stands for the calibrated matching assembly label of GE Panametrics standard M-series alumina trace moisture probe, mainly supporting Series 5 fixed moisture display host, PM880 portable dew point meter, MMS35 and MTS6 transmitters. It relies on porous alumina capacitive sensing principle to continuously detect trace dew point and water content in process gas, widely used for dry gas monitoring in power, natural gas and chemical industries.

Description

  • Measurement Principle & Electrical Performance

Constructed with porous alumina dielectric layer plus gold electrode capacitor structure; the capacitance value changes linearly with water vapor partial pressure inside gas medium. Integrated built-in NTC thermistor realizes real-time temperature compensation to suppress measurement drift under temperature fluctuation. Each NC22 matched probe is calibrated with NIST-traceable standard moisture gas before delivery, with dew point measuring range from +20°C down to -110°C, featuring fast response speed and low hysteresis error. Twisted-pair signal cable supports a maximum transmission distance of 610 meters for long-distance field layout. Calibration parameters are solidified inside the sensing head without data loss after replacement matching. Core sensing components pass high-low temperature aging screening to guarantee long-term stable weak signal output.

  • Structural Design & Environmental Adaptability

Standard wetted components adopt 316 stainless steel material, equipped with sintered metal porous filter head to block dust, liquid mist and particulate impurities to protect the fragile alumina sensitive film. Standard NPT external thread interface is compatible with sampling pipelines, PRE-6-40 pressure reducing valves and CRL-10-H-H sampling filters. The overall assembly has intrinsic safety certification of Ex ia IIC T4, applicable to Class I Division 1 explosive hazardous environments. Fully sealed mechanical structure has good vibration resistance to adapt to pipeline vibration and alternating temperature changes in industrial sites.

  • Matched Components & Application Scenarios

Matching host equipment: Series5 moisture monitor, PM880 portable dew point analyzer, MMS35/MTS6/HygroPro fixed transmitters

Matching auxiliary parts: sampling pressure regulator, sampling filter, MG101 calibration instrument

Typical applications: generator hydrogen dew point monitoring, natural gas pipeline water content detection, heat treatment protective gas detection, air dryer efficiency monitoring, semiconductor high-purity gas trace moisture measurement. It serves as standardized replacement spare assembly when the original probe is contaminated, fails or drifts severely.

  • Stability & Maintenance Advantages

No internal mechanical wearing parts, low long-term maintenance frequency and operating cost. NC22 unified calibration marking ensures the consistency of measurement accuracy after field replacement and pairing. Plug-type wiring mode simplifies on-site disassembly and installation, effectively shortening system downtime. Original genuine NC22 matched probes avoid measurement deviation and host circuit overload damage caused by generic replacement sensors. Shockproof sealed packaging meets long-term spare parts inventory storage requirements, and sensing performance remains stable under dry constant-temperature storage conditions.
