GE AT868W-2-1-1-1 AquaTrans Ultrasonic Liquid Flow Transmitter

AT868W-2-1-1-1 belongs to GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 series wall-mounted ultrasonic flow transmitter. It adopts correlation transit-time ultrasonic principle, supporting external clamp-on sensors for non-intrusive liquid flow measurement without pipeline cutting and system shutdown. This configuration is equipped with dual-channel measurement, local display, standard analog output and serial communication, mainly oriented to municipal water supply, sewage and industrial circulating water monitoring scenarios.

Description

  • Measurement Principle & Electrical Performance
The built-in microprocessor calculates fluid flow velocity by capturing the transmission time difference of ultrasonic signals along upstream and downstream directions, and converts velocity data into instantaneous flow rate and cumulative flow volume through algorithm processing. The dual-channel design can realize double-path measurement on a single pipeline to improve accuracy or monitor two independent pipelines simultaneously. It provides galvanically isolated 4–20mA analog signal, pulse totalizer output and RS485 communication interface for data upload to DCS and PLC systems. Equipped with onboard keypad and LCD screen for on-site parameter setting and data browsing. All calibration coefficients and configuration parameters are stored in non-volatile memory with zero data loss after power failure. Core electronic components pass high-low temperature aging screening to maintain long-term stable measurement performance.
  • Structural Design & Environmental Adaptability
The instrument shell adopts coated aluminum material with NEMA4X protection grade, featuring dustproof, waterproof and splash-proof performance, suitable for outdoor pipe galleries, water treatment workshops and factory instrument cabinetsManualsLib. Internal circuit boards are coated with anti-moisture and anti-corrosion conformal coating to cope with humid and slightly corrosive working environments. The whole machine meets industrial EMC standards and effectively resists electromagnetic interference from on-site water pumps, frequency converters and power distribution equipment. Standard wall-mounted installation structure is convenient for field fixing and wiring layout, with wide applicable ambient temperature range of -10℃ ~ 55℃ManualsLib.
  • Matched Components & Application Scenarios
Support matched clamp-on ultrasonic transducers and dedicated shielded transducer signal cables. Applicable media include tap water, wastewater, circulating cooling water, treated industrial water and other acoustically conductive full-pipe liquids. Widely used in municipal water supply metering, sewage discharge monitoring, power plant circulating water balance measurement, building energy consumption water monitoring and other working conditions. It is used as a complete host replacement when the original flowmeter has measurement drift, communication failure and display faults.
  • Stability & Maintenance Advantages
Non-invasive installation will not form pipeline pressure loss, and there are no internal movable wearing parts, greatly reducing later maintenance frequency and operation costBaker Hugh.... Clamp-type sensors can be installed online without stopping production to reduce construction loss. Each unit is subjected to flow calibration, output trimming and continuous power-on aging test before delivery to ensure stable measurement precision in batches. Standard interface matching realizes quick replacement and debugging on site. Original GE transmitters avoid measurement deviation caused by inferior substitutes. Shockproof sealed packaging meets long-term spare parts storage requirements, and the overall working performance remains stable under dry constant-temperature storage conditions.
