Working Principle & Electrical Performance
This serial probe adopts separated transmitting and receiving wafers design. Transmitting crystal emits ultrasonic wave into workpiece, receiving crystal feeds back reflected echo signals to the host for data calculation. Different frequencies from 2 MHz to 10M match different detection demands: low frequency penetrates thick and coarse-grain materials, high frequency delivers high resolution for thin workpieces and tiny defects. Built-in impedance matching circuit weakens signal attenuation, improves signal-to-noise ratio and restrains waveform distortion from rough surfaces and industrial electromagnetic interference. Every probe undergoes acoustic parameter calibration before delivery, keeping stable echo response in long-term continuous testing. Internal piezoelectric chips pass high-low temperature aging screening to guarantee steady acoustic output performance.
Structural Design & Environmental Adaptability
The probe head uses wear-resistant protective layer to reduce abrasion during long-time on-site scanning. The housing is constructed with high-strength engineering material with dustproof, splash-proof features for workshops, outdoor piping yards and boiler inspection sites. Cable joints adopt sealed waterproof structure to stop moisture and dust invading internal wafers. The product meets industrial EMC specifications to resist interference from on-site inverters, motors and power distribution cabinets. Matching Devices & Application Scenarios
Compatible with GE Epoch 4 flaw detector, 2100 thickness gauge and other conventional ultrasonic testing instruments. 2MHz–4MHz probes apply to thick steel plates, pressure vessels and heavy pipeline wall detection; 5MHz–10MHz probes are used for thin pipeline wall measurement, weld tiny flaw scanning and precision part thickness inspection. Widely used in thermal power, petrochemical, metallurgy and shipbuilding industries for regular equipment safety nondestructive testing. It serves as replaceable wearing spare part when original probes have signal weakening and surface damage.
