GE M2L Alumina Trace Moisture Probe

GE M2L belongs to GE Panametrics classic M-series alumina moisture probe. It realizes ppb-level trace moisture and dew point measurement for industrial gas media, supporting long-term online monitoring when matched with Moisture.IQ, HygroPro and other analysis hosts.

Description

  • Measurement Principle & Electrical Performance
This probe adopts mature alumina thin-film sensing technology, converting water molecule concentration changes in process gas into impedance signals for host calculation of dew point and moisture content. Built-in integrated NTC thermistor provides real-time temperature compensation to eliminate measurement deviation caused by medium temperature fluctuation. The internal signal conditioning circuit filters electromagnetic interference from compressors, inverters and power distribution equipment on site, ensuring stable linear output in full measuring range. Unified NIST-traceable calibration is finished before delivery, with low long-term zero drift and fast response speed. Calibration data is stored in non-volatile chip without data loss after power failure. Core electronic components pass high-low temperature aging screening to keep stable detection precision under long-time continuous operation.
  • Structural Design & Environmental Adaptability
The medium contact part is made of 304 stainless steel, equipped with standard 3/4 inch NPT thread with Viton sealing ring, bearing maximum working pressure up to 5000 PSIG. The circuit board is coated with high-performance anti-moisture and anti-corrosion conformal coating, adapting to humid, dusty and slightly corrosive environments in natural gas stations, thermal power plants and petrochemical workshops. The whole sealed structure prevents gas leakage and avoids sensing element contamination by impurities in the medium. It meets industrial EMC standards and can resist pipeline vibration, airflow impact and ambient temperature changes. Optional stainless steel protective cover effectively shields the sensitive sensing head from mechanical collision damage.
  • Matched Equipment & Application Scenarios
Compatible with GE Moisture.IQ analyzer, HygroPro transmitter, PM880 portable hygrometer and supporting acquisition equipment. Widely applied in thermal power generator hydrogen dew point monitoring, natural gas pipeline moisture detection, compressed air drying system quality supervision, petrochemical process gas purification monitoring and semiconductor ultra-high purity gas moisture testing. It can directly replace failed original probes to quickly restore the monitoring function of the analysis system and prevent out-of-standard risks of process gas quality.
  • Stability & Maintenance Advantages
Each M2L probe passes air tightness inspection, dew point calibration and long-term power-on stability test before shipment to guarantee consistent performance among batches. Only twisted-pair cables are required for wiring, supporting long-distance signal transmission between probe and host. Field maintenance personnel can complete disassembly, replacement and simple commissioning according to standard operating procedures to reduce enterprise operation and maintenance costs. Original GE probes effectively avoid measuring errors and host circuit overload faults caused by generic substitutes. Shockproof sealed packaging meets long-term spare parts warehouse storage demands, and sensing performance will not produce obvious attenuation under dry constant-temperature storage environment.
