GE 868-1-20 Ultrasonic Flow Meter Matching Transducer

GE 868-1-20 is an original clamp-on ultrasonic transducer supporting GE Panametrics AT868 and XMT868 flow measurement equipment. It sends and receives ultrasonic waves through the outer wall of pipelines to capture medium flow signals for flow calculation by the transmitter host.

Description

  • Working Principle and Electrical Indexes

This transducer relies on piezoelectric crystal components to complete mutual conversion between electrical signals and ultrasonic acoustic signals. It emits ultrasonic pulses into the pipe wall and fluid medium, then feeds back the received echo signals to the flow transmitter. Built-in impedance matching circuit weakens signal attenuation during transmission, and restrains signal distortion caused by medium impurities, pipeline vibration and on-site electromagnetic interference. The product undergoes unified acoustic parameter calibration at the factory, featuring stable signal response and high signal-to-noise ratio within the matched pipe diameter range. Coordinated with the host’s time difference algorithm, it ensures accurate acquisition of flow velocity data and stable output of effective measurement signals under long-term continuous working conditions. The internal electronic parts pass high-low temperature aging screening to maintain consistent acoustic performance in variable industrial environments.

  • Physical Structure and Environmental Adaptability

The transducer shell is made of high-strength wear-resistant engineering materials with good weather resistance and anti-corrosion capacity, adapting to outdoor pipe galleries, chemical workshops, thermal power workshops and other harsh installation environments. The contact surface is equipped with wear-resistant sound-conducting cushion, which fits tightly with the outer wall of metal or plastic pipelines to reduce acoustic loss. The whole set conforms to industrial EMC anti-interference specifications and resists interference from surrounding motors, frequency converters and power distribution equipment. The cable outlet adopts sealed waterproof structure to prevent moisture and dust from invading internal piezoelectric components. The lightweight clamping structure is convenient for external fixation on the pipeline surface without pipeline cutting or shutdown construction during installation.

  • Matching Devices and Industry Application Scenarios

Perfectly compatible with GE XMT868 fixed transmitters and AT868 portable ultrasonic flow meters. Widely applied in municipal water supply and drainage pipeline testing, power plant circulating water measurement, petrochemical liquid pipeline flow monitoring, metallurgical cooling water detection and energy balance testing of industrial fluid pipelines. When the original transducer has weak signals, abnormal echo feedback or shell aging damage, this accessory can be replaced directly to restore the measuring function of the whole flow metering system and shorten the downtime of pipeline flow monitoring.

  • Stability and Maintenance Advantages

Each transducer passes acoustic performance test, sealing inspection and long-term signal stability detection before delivery, ensuring uniform performance among batches. It adopts a standard wiring interface that can be quickly plugged into the host without complex wiring debugging. Field maintenance personnel can finish installation and fixation quickly with matching clamps and coupling agents, lowering the labor cost of equipment maintenance for enterprises. Original GE transducers avoid inaccurate measurement data and host operating load anomalies triggered by inferior generic sensors. Standard shockproof sealed packaging supports long-term storage in spare parts warehouses, and acoustic sensing performance will not degrade significantly under dry and constant temperature storage conditions.
