GE XMT1000 series is a new-generation wall-mounted ultrasonic flow host upgraded from the classic XMT868 platform. This specific model is configured with AC power supply, alarm output function and fixed factory firmware parameters, used for long-term stable liquid flow monitoring in conventional industrial piping systems.

Description

XMT1000 is GE Panametrics upgraded transit-time ultrasonic transmitter for liquid measurement, optimizing signal processing chips and anti-interference algorithms compared with the older 868 series. Each field of the model code corresponds to hardware configuration: the digit 3 stands for housing grade and basic hardware framework; AC represents AC mains power input mode; the subsequent 1 matches analog output channel quantity; AL means built-in relay alarm module; 00 is default hardware modification code; 2 defines communication interface specification; the last group of digits solidifies factory preset calibration parameters and functional options.
This transmitter is compatible with full series of GE clamp-on liquid transducers such as M27R, P1347, 36DL and M2LRZ. It collects upstream and downstream ultrasonic echo signals, calculates fluid velocity, instantaneous flow rate and total accumulated flow through digital correlation algorithm, effectively resisting measurement errors caused by pipe wall scaling, liquid tiny bubbles and pipeline mechanical vibration. The measuring accuracy can reach ±0.5% after on-site calibration, supporting pipe diameters ranging from 10 mm to 8 meters covering metal and plastic pipelines.
The enclosure adopts reinforced cast aluminum structure with IP66 protection rating, and all internal circuit boards are coated with three-proof conformal coating against moisture, dust and mild corrosive gas. It can continuously work reliably under ambient temperature of -20℃ ~ +60℃ in pump rooms, indoor instrument cabinets and factory pipe galleries. The front equipped LCD display and physical keys support local configuration of pipe parameters, liquid medium properties, probe parameters and alarm threshold values. Operators can check real-time flow data, signal quality and fault alarm codes directly on site.
Standard configuration contains isolated 4–20mA analog output, RS485 Modbus digital communication and AL relay alarm contacts. Flow data can be uploaded to DCS, PLC and SCADA systems to realize remote data recording, trend analysis and over-limit interlock protection. The built-in matched power supply circuit has complete surge, overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection to buffer industrial grid voltage fluctuation impact and protect core control components from damage.
Cooperating with original signal cables, mounting fixtures and acoustic couplant, the clamp-on measuring scheme requires no pipeline cutting, drilling or system shutdown during installation and maintenance, bringing zero pressure loss and medium pollution risks to production pipelines. Each finished unit undergoes flow bench calibration, long-time aging test and communication function verification before delivery with fixed parameter code.
There are no mechanical wearing parts inside the host with low failure rate in long-term operation. Faulty power boards, display modules and signal boards can be replaced separately instead of the whole device, lowering maintenance cost and equipment downtime. It is widely applied to HVAC water metering, factory cooling water monitoring, municipal water supply and drainage metering and general chemical low-viscosity process liquid measurement.
