GE AT868W-1-1-1-1 is a wall-mounted transit-time ultrasonic gas flow transmitter from GE Panametrics AT868 series. It pairs with insertion gas transducers to deliver stable volumetric gas flow measurement for common industrial non-flare gas pipelines with integrated signal processing and standard industrial signal outputs.

Description

The AT868 series is a dedicated fixed ultrasonic host designed for general industrial gas medium measurement, different from the GF868 flare gas customized host. The segmented coding of AT868W-1-1-1-1 separately defines power supply type, enclosure rating, analog output layout, communication configuration and factory standard firmware version. This transmitter works with USL-42, ILP-1 and other GE insertion gas probes to collect upstream and downstream ultrasonic time difference signals, then computes gas flow velocity, instantaneous volumetric flow and total cumulative flow through built-in high-speed digital signal processing circuits.
Equipped with optimized gas echo identification algorithm, the unit suppresses signal distortion brought by gas turbulence, pipeline pressure pulsation and tiny particulate impurities inside gas flow. It adapts to conventional measurement media including compressed air, nitrogen, natural gas, fuel gas and inert shielding gas, covering pipe diameters ranging from small-bore process tubes to large industrial gas headers. The overall measurement precision meets general industrial gas metering management requirements after field parameter calibration.
The W suffix stands for wall-mounted installation structure, matched with industrial grade sealed metal casing that reaches IP65 protection grade. Operators can directly check real-time flow data, signal strength values and system fault alarm codes on the local screen without external configuration tools. Standard isolated 4–20mA analog output and RS485 Modbus communication interfaces are provided for seamless data transmission to DCS, PLC and SCADA centralized control platforms to realize remote data recording, trend monitoring and abnormal flow interlock control.
The built-in dedicated power board is fitted with complete overvoltage, overcurrent and surge protection mechanisms to avoid circuit damage caused by on-site power grid fluctuations. Standard terminal definitions facilitate wiring connection with original GE transducer shielded cables. Combined with matched probe mounting hardware, it constitutes a complete non-intrusive gas flow measuring system without pipeline cutting or process shutdown during installation and maintenance, bringing zero pressure loss to gas delivery pipelines.
