GE DRC-100X Ultrasonic Flow Signal Diagnostic & Receiver Module
GE DRC-100X is a dedicated signal receiving and conditioning board for GE Panametrics ultrasonic flowmeter systems. It processes weak echo signals from clamp-on and insertion transducers, filters industrial noise and transmits standardized signals to flow transmitters for stable flow computation.
Description
GE DRC-100X belongs to the core internal circuit module matched with XMT868, DF868, UTX878 ultrasonic flow hosts, responsible for receiving original ultrasonic feedback signals sent by M9LW, 1200HR, USL-42 and other series of transducers. DRC represents Data Receiver Circuit, and 100X stands for enhanced wide-gain amplification design applicable to low-amplitude echoes generated by thick pipe walls, medium scaling and gas medium measurement conditions.
The module integrates multi-stage programmable gain amplifiers, band-pass filtering circuits and impedance matching circuits. Weak ultrasonic echoes attenuated by pipe walls and fluid media are amplified to effective identification amplitude through graded gain adjustment. The built-in hardware filtering unit screens out power frequency interference, motor harmonic noise and pipeline vibration clutter signals generated in industrial sites, effectively solving the problems of waveform distortion, signal loss and flow value jumping in complex electromagnetic environments. Strict impedance calibration is consistent with the transmission characteristics of original signal cables such as PWO6J8-4S, reducing signal loss during long-distance cable transmission.
Equipped with built-in temperature drift compensation circuit, the circuit operating parameters are automatically corrected under the alternating temperature change of instrument cabinets and field equipment rooms, maintaining stable signal processing performance in the ambient temperature range of -20℃ ~ +60℃. The board adopts industrial-grade anti-interference PCB layout with full ground shielding design, which can adapt to dusty, humid and slightly corrosive installation environments in pump rooms, pipe galleries and chemical instrument areas. Standard pin definition and plug-in structure support quick disassembly and replacement during on-site equipment maintenance without modifying the overall wiring layout of the flow system.
It supports dual-channel signal receiving processing, which can simultaneously process echo data of a pair of upstream and downstream transducers required for time-difference flow calculation. After waveform shaping and digital sampling, the processed effective signals are uploaded to the main CPU of the flow transmitter for time difference calculation, velocity conversion and flow accumulation calculation. Each DRC-100X module undergoes full signal test, gain calibration and aging screening before factory delivery to ensure consistent signal processing precision of each batch of products.
As a key vulnerable spare part of ultrasonic flow measuring equipment, the failure of the module will directly cause meter no display, low signal alarm and measurement failure. Using original DRC-100X replacement can quickly restore the normal operation of the flow monitoring system, avoid long-term shutdown of industrial metering links. There are no mechanical moving parts inside the module, and daily maintenance only needs regular dust cleaning of the board surface and inspection of plug contact tightness. Widely used in municipal water metering, thermal power circulating water monitoring, petrochemical flare gas and process fluid flow measurement control systems.
