GE OX-2PPM Trace Oxygen Micro Fuel Cell Sensor
GE OX-2PPM is an original PPM-level trace oxygen fuel cell sensor from GE Panametrics, specially designed for oxygen detection in acidic process gas environments, matched with Oxy.iQ and O2X1 oxygen analyzers to realize stable low-concentration oxygen monitoring.
Description
GE OX-2PPM belongs to GE Panametrics OX series electrochemical fuel cell oxygen sensing unit, OX-2 represents the anti-acid structural design, PPM defines its measurement mode for trace ppm-level oxygen content, being a core consumable sensing component for industrial online trace oxygen analyzers. Differing from OX-1 PPM sensor applied to neutral gases, OX-2PPM adopts optimized internal electrolyte and corrosion-resistant shell structure, tolerating trace acidic components such as CO₂, H₂S, SO₂ and HCl inside process gas without rapid electrolyte failure or signal driftManualsLib.
The product adopts sealed miniature fuel cell principle. Oxygen molecules penetrate the permeable membrane to trigger redox reaction inside the cell, generating linear current signals corresponding to oxygen concentration. The matched host converts electrical signals into real-time ppm oxygen values. The standard measuring range covers 0~10000 ppm oxygen, with excellent linearity and low hysteresis, meeting the trace oxygen monitoring requirements of carbon dioxide recovery systems, acid tail gas pipelines, hydrogen purification devices and chemical reaction protective atmospheres.
The built-in internal electrode material undergoes anti-corrosion modification, and the outer packaging shell uses acid-resistant composite plastic with fully sealed packaging technology to prevent acidic gas from corroding the internal sensitive structure. The response speed is fast, and it can quickly track real-time oxygen fluctuations caused by pipeline air leakage and purification equipment failure. The overall size is unified with the standard interface of GE Oxy.iQ and O2X1 transmitters, featuring plug-and-play installation without complex wiring transformation during field replacement1688阿....
Each OX-2PPM oxygen cell is subjected to strict nitrogen zero calibration and span gas calibration before factory delivery, with unified output characteristics among batches, which can directly match the original instrument parameters without repeated large-scale debugging after replacement. In normal industrial working conditions, the service life can reach 12~24 months. Daily maintenance only needs regular system calibration according to the site operating specifications, and no extra maintenance is required for the sensor itself.
It is widely used in petrochemical acid working condition gas monitoring, food carbon dioxide production, inert gas purification, semiconductor process gas quality detection and other industries. With good anti-interference performance against common trace acidic impurities in industrial pipelines, it effectively reduces the replacement frequency of oxygen sensors under harsh working conditions and lowers the long-term operating cost of enterprise gas analysis systems. All products comply with industrial intrinsic safety requirements for hazardous areas, which is the designated original supporting oxygen sensing element for GE series trace oxygen analysis equipment.
