GE 100096R Shielded Ultrasonic Probe Cable Assembly
GE 100096R is original shielded connecting cable for GE industrial NDT instruments, transmitting ultrasonic signals with low attenuation and outstanding anti-abrasion property for field ultrasonic inspection operations.
Description
GE 100096R is an official original spare cable under GE Panametrics industrial nondestructive testing supporting accessories, matched universally with Epoch series flaw detectors, 1200M thickness gauges and all standard GE ultrasonic probes including single crystal probes, dual-element probes and angle beam probes. It acts as the exclusive transmission channel for high-frequency ultrasonic excitation signals and reflected echo signals between the main device and detection probe, directly determining waveform stability and measuring accuracy during detection.
The cable core adopts high-purity oxygen-free copper conductor with precise impedance matching consistent with GE original equipment parameters, which minimizes signal loss during high-frequency ultrasonic transmission and avoids waveform deviation after cable replacement. A dense woven copper mesh shielding layer is arranged inside the outer sheath, effectively isolating electromagnetic interference generated by field welding equipment, frequency converters, high-voltage power distribution cabinets and large motors, reducing clutter noise and signal drift in complex industrial electromagnetic environments.
The outer protective sheath is made of oil-resistant, hydrolysis-resistant polyurethane material. It resists corrosion from ultrasonic couplant, mechanical grease, dust and condensed water on site, and withstands frequent bending, dragging, extrusion and friction during high-altitude pipeline inspection, confined space detection and mobile field patrol work, effectively slowing down cable aging, cracking and internal wire breakage failure. Both ends are equipped with GE original locked sealed connectors with dustproof and waterproof sealing rings, which prevent moisture and impurities from invading contact terminals and eliminate poor contact caused by vibration and collision.
This cable is widely applied in wall thickness corrosion detection of petrochemical pipelines, crack inspection of pressure vessels and boilers, quality testing of mechanical castings, and routine safety assessment of railway structural parts. Each finished cable passes factory tensile test, repeated bending fatigue test and signal performance inspection to guarantee stable batch consistency. Daily maintenance only requires wiping residual dirt and couplant on the cable surface and plugs, without complex maintenance procedures and extra consumable investment.
It is a necessary standard spare accessory for enterprise NDT laboratories, third-party testing institutions and field inspection teams to maintain the normal operation of ultrasonic testing systems, lowering equipment failure rate and overall inspection cost for industrial users.
