GE MS29 Alumina Trace Dew Point Moisture Probe

GE MS29 belongs to GE Panametrics M-series moisture sensors, applying thin-film alumina technology to continuously test trace moisture and dew point value inside process gas pipelines with compact structure and outstanding long-term measuring stability.

Description

GE MS29 is a standard insertion-type dew point detection probe under the classic M-series product portfolio of GE Panametrics, perfectly matched with MMS35 analyzers, Moisture Image series hosts and HygroPro transmitters as the core field sensing element for online gas trace moisture monitoring. Compared with MS32, MS29 adopts a shorter overall probe body structure and compact thread interface, applicable to narrow pipeline spaces and limited installation cabinet environments with limited mounting space.
The core sensing chip adopts high-purity thin-layer alumina sensitive film. Water molecules will cause regular capacitance changes on the oxide film layer. The matched host converts capacitance signals into intuitive dew point, ppm water content and absolute humidity data. The sensor owns low hysteresis error and slow calibration drift characteristics, greatly reducing the frequency of on-site regular calibration work for process equipment. A built-in integrated NTC thermistor realizes real-time temperature compensation, effectively correcting measurement deviation caused by drastic temperature changes in outdoor pipe racks and high-pressure process pipelines.
All medium-contact components are made of seamless welded 316L stainless steel. The front end is equipped with sintered stainless steel filter screen, which can block pipeline dust, oil mist and condensed liquid from polluting the fragile alumina chip, effectively prolonging the service life of the core sensitive component. The whole probe adopts fully sealed packaging design, with reliable pressure resistance performance, suitable for moisture monitoring of natural gas, flare gas, compressed dry air, hydrogen and various inert industrial gases in petrochemical plants, gas stations and semiconductor production linesBaker Hugh....
The internal signal circuit keeps accurate impedance matching with original GE analysis equipment, plus built-in multi-layer shielding structure. It can resist electromagnetic interference generated by surrounding compressors, inverters and high-power distribution equipment, ensuring stable output of measured data under complex industrial electromagnetic environments. Standard aviation sealed plug is adopted for wiring connection to realize plug-and-play replacement, lowering the technical difficulty of field maintenance and replacement for maintenance personnel.
Each GE MS29 probe undergoes independent calibration traceable to NIST standards before factory delivery, ensuring consistent accuracy of each batch of products and meeting the data filing and supervision requirements of environmental protection and safety departments. Daily maintenance workload is relatively low; only regular pipeline purge and annual calibration verification are required without frequent replacement of consumable parts, helping enterprises reduce the overall operating cost of gas detection systems. The product has obtained intrinsic safety explosion-proof certification for hazardous areas, being a universal spare sensing probe for industrial online trace moisture measurement systems worldwide.
