GE PRE-6-40 Ultrasonic Flow Meter Protective Mounting Fixture
GE PRE-6-40 is an original installation accessory for GE clamp-on flow sensors, fixing transducers firmly on pipe surfaces and buffering external impact in industrial flow measurement sites.
Description
GE PRE-6-40 is a dedicated standard mounting bracket accessory under GE Panametrics ultrasonic flow measurement system, mainly supporting the fixed installation of MTS series ultrasonic transducers such as MTS6 matched with GF868, XMT868i and other flow meter hosts. The model code corresponds to structural parameters: PRE represents protection & mounting accessory series, figure 6 matches applicable sensor size specification, 40 stands for the applicable outer diameter range of industrial pipelines and the tightening clamping force parameter.
The main body of the fixture is made of high-strength anti-rust alloy material with surface anti-corrosion coating, which can resist erosion from rainwater, pipeline condensate, industrial dust and mild chemical mist in outdoor pipe galleries and chemical workshops. The internal contact cushion adopts wear-resistant elastic polymer material, which can closely fit the surface of different metal pipelines while avoiding scratching the outer wall of pipes during long-term clamping fixation. The adjustable locking structure can realize quick fastening and disassembly without special professional tools, greatly shortening the equipment installation and later replacement construction period and avoiding production shutdown loss caused by pipeline construction.
This mounting part maintains stable laminating state of the ultrasonic sensor and the pipe wall under pipeline vibration, medium pressure fluctuation and external mechanical collision, preventing transducer displacement which would lead to ultrasonic beam deviation and flow data distortion. It is compatible with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and plastic common industrial conveying pipelines, covering flow measurement working conditions of natural gas, flare gas, process circulating water and industrial low-viscosity liquids.
The overall structure is designed with anti-loosening positioning teeth. Even under long-term continuous operation of pipeline equipment, the clamping state will not loosen due to vibration fatigue. The overall weight is lightweight, and it will not bring additional load pressure to thin-walled pipelines. In the actual field maintenance work, inspectors can directly take down the sensor via loosening the PRE-6-40 bracket for probe overhaul and calibration, improving the convenience of routine equipment maintenance.
All finished products pass tensile fatigue test and corrosion resistance test before leaving the factory, with uniform dimensional accuracy of batches. There are no easily damaged consumable components in the structure, and only regular surface decontamination treatment is required for daily management, with ultra-low later operation cost. Cooperated with original GE sensors and flow meters, it can maximize the measurement stability of the whole flow monitoring system, and is a necessary supporting original accessory for petrochemical enterprises, power plants and gas transmission stations to build ultrasonic flow measurement devices.
