Description

The GE Epoch IIB belongs to GE’s classic Epoch series portable ultrasonic testing equipment, specially designed for field nondestructive testing (NDT) tasks. It adopts optimized ultrasonic pulse transmitting and receiving circuits, paired with high-performance signal processing chips to capture tiny internal defects such as cracks, pores, inclusions and delamination inside metallic materials, composite materials and thick workpieces. The equipment supports multiple ultrasonic testing modes including pulse-echo, through-transmission and tandem scanning, meeting diversified detection demands of different workpiece structures and material properties.
The device is equipped with a high-resolution color display screen with anti-glare coating, which can clearly present ultrasonic waveform images and data readings under strong sunlight, dim workshop light and other complex light environments. Built-in digital gain compensation, DAC/TCG curve editing functions allow inspectors to calibrate detection sensitivity rapidly according to industry testing standards, effectively lowering measurement errors caused by material attenuation and workpiece surface roughness. Multiple built-in industry standard calibration blocks are supported for quick equipment calibration before formal testing work.
In terms of structural design, the whole machine adopts an integrated rugged casing with shockproof, dustproof and waterproof properties, conforming to industrial environmental protection standards. The handheld ergonomic layout reduces long-time holding fatigue for inspectors during field patrol inspection and high-altitude detection operations. It is fitted with replaceable high-capacity lithium batteries to support long-time continuous field work without frequent power supply replacement. Mass testing data, waveform files and inspection reports can be stored locally and exported via data interfaces to computers for archiving, analysis and report generation.
