GE 703-1358-02 belongs to the official communication accessory series of GE Panametrics DigitalFlow ultrasonic flow instruments. It is a plug-in daughter card specially developed for DF868 and GX868 gas ultrasonic flowmeters.

After being installed inside the flowmeter mainframe, the module provides standard Modbus RTU communication interface. It realizes two-way data interaction between ultrasonic flow transmitter and upper control system, supporting uploading real-time flow velocity, volumetric flow, accumulated flow, temperature, signal quality and device fault status data to PLC, DCS and SCADA platforms. Operators can also remotely read configuration parameters and conduct status diagnosis through the communication bus.

The circuit board adopts industrial-grade components with built-in signal isolation and surge protection design, which effectively resists electromagnetic interference in industrial sites and ensures stable long-distance bus transmission. It adopts internal slot plug-in installation mode, convenient for on-site retrofit, upgrade and maintenance of existing flowmeters without replacing the whole host.

Typical application scenarios: natural gas transmission stations, city gate stations, petrochemical plant process gas metering, industrial furnace fuel gas flow monitoring. Reliable Modbus communication realizes unattended automatic metering and data acquisition.

This legacy communication option board has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Available inventory mainly serves equipment overhaul, communication function upgrade and spare backup of DF868/GX868 ultrasonic flow measurement systems. Original surplus and fully tested refurbished boards can be supplied for field maintenance.

Before installation, confirm the firmware version compatibility of the flowmeter host. Set station address, baud rate and communication protocol parameters after power-on debugging. When wiring, separate communication cables from high-voltage power lines to avoid signal interference. For new projects, select the latest generation Panametrics flowmeter matching communication modules as alternatives.
